Hello fellow drivers and dovetail! After watching the five hour TSW4 announcement video and the follow up roadmap stream, I understand that TSW 4 is releasing September 26 or September 21 for anyone pre-ordering,With the new Vektron coming out with the Reisa Dresden route. I am assuming that Reisa Dresden we'll get overhaul to all of the new TSW 4 standards … Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. The new New Jersey timetable should be releasing the same day as TSW 4 and my big question/want is for a possible similar upgrade to the Trenton route with the TSW 4 upgrades. I personally think it would add a lot more atmospheres to the route along side the new timetable and the same thing I would love to see. I thought I should make this post way before the release that way, the community can chime in on this idea giving the developers time to make the decision and hopefully give us any answers in regards to this proposal.
It is planned for the nyt timetable to be released with the launch of tsw4 unless it fails qa. Nyt would still be getting the volumetric fog. Only thing holding it from getting the tsw4 treatment would simply be the time it takes to manually implement all the features so I wouldn't see it coming with the timetable update. However, I think it would be a great idea to get the brand new tsw4 specific features as it would give lots of new opportunities from being able to create detailed scenarios, liveries as well as improve on certain aspects like rain and improved ohle rendering. I think having tsw4 features on possibly the most popular content would work since it's not easy to implement any of the stuff. That includes like boston sprinter, southeastern high speed, brighton mainline (would require significant rework).
I agree since the new timetable is coming to TSW 4 it should get the upgrades like Riesa-Dresden. It will be a perfect reintroduction of the route. It will definitely make the route so much better and feel up to date with launch of the game. I would like to suggest them updating the water in the rivers since it looks really washed out. I think they probably forgot to update that part of the water from 2020. But hopefully at some point it get the upgrades.
