So today I decided to finally drop the German Route addiction and instead tried something new.
I'm not someone whose exactly fond of old trains since I just haven't had any experiences with them. Just a personal thing.

So what I did was I took an GWG HST and drove it on Northern Trans-Pennine in Freemode.
I'll be honest, I quite liked the experience actually, especially the scenery. Same goes for the HST that I haven't driven in AGES like all the way back since TSW2020. I liked the way it drove, it wasn't overly complicated or tedious, neither was it underpowered. I'm looking forward to buying more routes that aren't just in Germany, like possibly, pretty likely Midland Main Line. :)

You should definitely try out some of the older routes like tees valley or blackpool. They require even more driving skill.

If I could recommend one, it'd be Southeastern High Speed with all layers.

Apart from its various issues, it is a decent route that is mostly enjoyable.

SEHS I have, it's a really fun time with the local path. The high speed path it's kind of meh, since it's just going from a to b

The commuter side is the best I agree.

I would highly recommend Blackpool Branches, ECML and MML. They are my 'holy trinity' at the minute.

I have a soft spot for East Coastway. Nice compact route, a bit of freight and, in Brighton, a busy station at one end.
The CL313 timetable is quite busy and there are also some very good scenarios available for it (if you don't forget the brackets). ;)

I love driving the class 101 on Tees Valley. It's a locomotive that has multiple gears to shift through!

Oh I've not seen that one. Is it any good? :)

I also have a soft spot for Tees Valley . A much more complex route than ECW with tonnes of opportunities for running freight.
The new community timetable is now quite busy and there are also some very good scenarios available for this route too (especially if you don't forget the brackets). ;) :D

It's not too bad, a fairly decent effort. Tees valley has always been a good route and Fawx really has done a good job with his timetable for it, breathed some new life into it for sure.
Ah yes I have heard there are a couple such as this one:
Creators Club - Peak of Summer Special (dovetailgames.com)
Though I suspect, and I don't know why, you may be referring to this one (which I must admit I have played and enjoyed very much, so good on the creator, whoever he may be:D):
