    H i,

I made a trip to Europe recently, and I was visiting Munich, Milan, and Madrid.

On Munich I traveled by Subway several times.
It is a really modern one, and goes really fast!
I forget to take pictures of it, so here I include a picture got on the web.

Then later I went to Milan.
There I traveled on their subway too.
This time I took a picture, but as it was the one I had to take, I had to hurry up, so it no perfect quality.

    Finally I went to Madrid.
    No trains there...but.
I traveled to Barcelona for the day... using the high speed line!
In this case, there are 4 options: AVE, AVLO, UIGO, and IRYO.
The first one is the original, RENFE company with ICE 3 trains.
AVLO is the low cost service of RENFE
UIGO is SNCF french company low cost service operating there.

Finally IRYO is the latest one to arrive, competing with AVE, for the better service.

    I selected this last one!
Due to AVE trains are a bit old, and the IRYO ones are brand new, and are the same of one used by Trenitalia...The beautiful Frecciarossa 1000!

Line max speed is 300 kph!

Please check the pictures I took, below:

I traveled on the "lowest" category called "Inicial".
Despite of that it was really great.
    The seats are very comfortable.
The train ride is very smooth.
You have food service on your seat or there is a CAFE car too.
    Everything was clean.
All seats it have USB and 220 v sockets.
As you can see, there are screens on the wagons with information about the trip.

So in resume a great experience!.

Sonds and looks great, i really enjoy train travel reports, as Interrailing became my chosen from of vacation. (Ill go up to Stockholm next week by train, and later this month down to Marseille and Barcelona) :)
Glad that you enjoyed your trip through europe by train, arguably the best form to travel around the continent

How did you find the security checks before boaring in spain and how much time do they take? I Heard that they are just scanning your luggage and dont do all the other faff for example eurostar does

Hi Tom, thanks for your comments ( and your great scenarios! (*))
From Germany (Munich - the Subway there is amazing! Really fast clean and modern - and Stuggart) I went by a passenger van, with other friends, from there though the Austrian Alps by road (really beautiful scenery!) - and close to the road there is a train track, where I saw OBB services with Talent railcars. After the italian border FS trains close to the highway in Italy.
This was a special trip, to visit luxury and sport cars headquarters and museums!.
Yes I likes also exotic and fast cars.
From Milan, I went to Madrid by plane.
So being there, I decided to visit again Barcelona for the day.
Then the best option, is the high speed line on the Iryo!
A fantastic and beautiful train as showed.

NOTE: Please select a direct train between the 2 cities!
As there are some services which stops in Zaragoza station.

About your specific question, yes there is luggage control before getting the train, but it is relative fast.
Of course if there is no problem with some passengers before you in the line!.

No there is only luggage check.
Eurostar is different due to you are going from or to European Union to Uk.
    Then you have passport check.

As I went just for the day - the train is great about it, due to you took it directly on the city center, by taxi, and was enough time to make the city tour bus in Barcelona, visit the main landmarks eat something and return in the last train service at night.
So you do not might have any problem about it.
Mainly if you will spend more days in Barcelona.

(*) With your latest Scenarios is happening something weird to me on my PS4.
Once selected, and then after load it, I "appears" by feet on any part of the selected route! Far away from any train!
So I could not do them.
    This does not happened before!
I do not know if this is caused, due to I am subscribed to a lot of scenarios, and may be there is a limit about it?
I will have to delete the older ones?!

But this not happens with most of other creators.
Do you have any idea about which could be the cause?

    Thanks Nathan and Matt.
    .
Yes Iryo service is really great!
Everything... the train itself, the ride comfort seat space, the food service and all really clean!
Mainly considering I traveled on the standard class.

One special part of the trip, which I did traveling on a passenger van, from Munich to Milan was...I traveled through Austria.
So I make almost the same route we will have on TSW4!
I saw several OBB Talent 1 trains running close to the highway.
From that part is one track only, but when going down to Austria it was double track.
Unfortunately I had no chance to get a picture of them!.
This was due to you do no have enough visual before they appeared.

But this route it is amazing due to the mountains and scenery.
