After playing around with graphics settings have somehow ended up with TS2021 not fully opening and displaying. Get an icon appear on the toolbar but cannot get the game to show. Had this once before when I accidentally selected a resolution that wasn’t compatible with my monitor. Can’t remember how I got out of it, horrible feeling I had to do a full uninstall/reinstall to get past the issue.

If anyone can offer another suggestion, would be grateful, thanks.

OldVern Remove the PlayerProfiles.bin from **:\Program Files (86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Content

Thanks Reef, I'll give that a go (tomorrow, now).

Just to confirm - that sorted it. Thanks, chap.
Moral of story don’t try running TS in windowed mode, only borderless window if you want to Alt-Tab to another app. Maybe one day DTG will fix it...

No worries, glad to help. :)
FYI, I always run the game in Fullscreen (never Windowed or Borderless) and Alt+Tab all the time with no issues or problems, in fact I'm AltTabbed right now whilst typing this, if you don't happen to have another program running in the background you need to hold down Alt+Tab whilst you click on say your web browser icon or else sometimes it just reverts straight back to the game screen but other than that I really don't see the need for borderless or windowed.

Good point though as things are now stabilised, I'm tempted to leave well alone!

I doubt it as it is usually a Windows (or sometimes graphics card/monitor spec/driver issue)!:)
I run TS all of the time in windowed mode without seeing the same issue as yourself - Alt-Tab works fine for me!
But you do need to run your Monitor resolution as Windows 10 recommended/default.

Possibly Peter, but this time was the laptop, previously it was the desktop which played up. Coaxing the forum search to work I did find another report about this in the Technical sub forum.
Anyhow, no matter, at least I now have the workaround should I inadvertently deconfigure it in future!
