Hey all, hoping for some feedback and guidance from those who use TS Tools often. I am using it to edit some scenarios that use stock I do not own. However a high percentage of the time when I go to actually execute the swap in the Scenario Editor, I get one of a handful of reoccurring errors. Most common are Error #70 Permission Denied, Error #53 File Not found. And don't even get me started on the Swap in ALL Scenarios for this Route button, which basically just starts swearing at me in error codes when I try to, and then hangs for 15 minutes (though it does eventually make the swap)

I'm also having a hell of a time getting the Available Stock to actually show all available stock. For example, let's say I'm swapping out a Class 390 Pendolino with a different reskin. For available stock I navigate to DTG/WCML-South/RailVehicles/Electric/Class390/Virgin. I click Electric as the type, and then click Find Available Rolling Stock. Here's the problem. It doesn't show all the rolling stock. For example for the 390, I've got cars for letters A-K. I click find and it shows maybe 3 or 4 of those. So I click it again, and now maybe it only finds 2. Then I click it again and it finds 5. Etc. So I just keep clicking find over and over hoping that I eventually win the lottery and the lists populated with all the actual rolling stock available. The worst part is even if I navigate to the individual folder with the stock I want, for example I drill down into /Class390/Virgin/DMSO, where the DMSO car actually lives, and flick find...it's a 50/50 shot whether TS Tools will actually find it or not. I may have to keep clicking Find over and over until the program finally sees it.

Basically these issues are making using the tool for swapping stock far more trouble than it's worth. Any ideas and input are appreciated.

Routes and trains from DTG come in an ap file - it is what Steam uses to verify you have which you have paid for.

Open TS Tools on in the first drop down click on Find all .AP Files
    TS Tools AP.jpg
When you select that a box appears
    TS Tools AP Extract.jpg
Click on Extract rolling stock from all .ap files and then Extract scenarios from all .ap files

    That should be it.

    Thanks Peter. Smooth sailing now.

One more question. When I do Swap in ALL Scenarios for this Route once TS Tools makes the swap it saves and closes the scenario, so I need to reopen it every time. Is there any way to have it not automatically close every time it runs that replacement?

I would say if you are swapping in all scenarios you are no longer working exclusively in that one scenario, so it will naturally close it. This would be something to bring up to the person behind the application. It may not be possible to keep the scenario up while making the change in all scenarios. In that case, just bring the scenario back up, not a huge deal.

Swap in All Scenarios is not always reliable
Swap in All Consists of the Scenario you have open does tend to work.
