I wonder if anyone can help:

Using the last version of TS Tools - each time I try to index my collection it just ignores most of the rolling stock only showing maybe 10-15%?

Same with preload folders when trying to make quickdrive consists.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

As far as I know, unless it was ever updated, TS Tools can't 'see' inside .ap files which presumably is why most of your rolling stock isn't found. The TS Tools manual tells you how to get round this.

But you do have to know which folder that train is in to swap it for something else.
With the Stock Index you do have a list to find things

Run extract route properties.xml and scenario properties .xml before indexing. I currently show 12,741 pieces of rolling stock. Also check the boxes default folders, rolling stock only then select add to list.

    Thanks for your replies.

The assets it's refusing to pick up are not in .ap files (SSS Stainmore for instance, but multiple others)
It will pick up a few random ones but certainly missing most - it doesnt even refernece Kuju, etc.
I just cannot understand it for the life of me!

I am wanting to index the stock so I can then start making quick drive consists and fragments.
Again when I ask TS Tools to list all preload folders it misses most of them and I just cannot fathome why!

Its worth noting this happens with default folders ticked and unticked.
    Any other suggestions?

I have tried backdating to RW_Tools and this is having the same issue. Very stumped by it.

Both Route Properties and Scenario Properties are in the Content Folder and neither would tell you what trains you own.

Tried it and it only partially works. Need to explode the .ap files manually using 7zip. May cause performance issues once you have done this. May want to then validate DLC against Steam to zip them all back up. Can be a painful process. I have all of mine cataloged in an access database by DLC and supplier folder so I can quickly review. I added my own index in this so that I could at a glance see say all diesel locos or Class 43 or type of rolling stock. It is a large base which I append to when I acquire more DLC. I could potentially share this on my Google Drive / WebSite if it is of any interest. I may not have everything that you have however my portfolio is quite large.

Using V 1.0.82 Are you running as administrator? In Options have you run make all RW files read/write?

One option is to extract the AP files without deleting them- you only need to do those that have trains in them - you could delete the files afterwards leaving just those *.ap files
