I have just bought TS2019 and want to have suggetions of any exiting routes to buy. Are there routes that you can combine with the ones that are included in the TS2019 package and if so - anyone you might suggest. Are there routes that are extraordinary in terms of scenery and tasks. I must add that I am still learning so maybe not a route that is too challenging.

The routes don't "link up" like that so better to think of where you might like to drive, or any trains you want to drive and go from there

There are some routes on the Steam Workshop which include two or more TS2019 routes merged into one.

One example here is a merger of the North Jersey Coast & Morristown Lines and the New York Newhaven route: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=903694558

Another example merges four routes into one huge route, the North London Line, the South London Line, London to Brighton and London to Bedford: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=599954177

In terms of the most scenic routes, I'd suggest Soldier Summit and the Semmeringbahn.

@OP Note that these are not extensions of the existing routes but classed as separate routes, so scenarios may not carry across etc. It's not that simple

Have a look at the routes on Steam
    https://store.steampowered.com/search/?publisher=Dovetail Games - Trains

They split in to 4 areas -
    UK
    Europe
    USA & Canada
and elsewhere like China or South Africa

Looking at a route will bring up more details as to how long the route is, some pictures and sometimes a video of the route.
Most people don't buy at the price shown but wait for a sale - the next one might be around Easter.
