I got given a hard disk copy of TS2020 for christmas but i cannot find any sort of DLC for it, so my questions i have are will it Auto Update to TS2021? and if it does not is the TS2021 DLC compatible with TS2020?
The "core game engine" (the bit which opens the DLC and displays them) will be updated to the 2021 version when you connect to steam You won't receive the "core game DLC" which are included with the TS2021 bundle, but you WILL get the DLC which were included in the 2020 bundle All DLC from any version of the game (going back a decade or more) will work with all versions of the base game, so you can download over £7,000 of DLC from steam and get DLC from other sources and if it says "compatible with Train simulator" with any year after it, it should work fine
You see the background picture of this Forum with the DB 648 on the left, a bit of a US loco and the Scotrail 68 on the right. That is your loading screen for TS2021 - if you see that then it is updated. Peter
