Interesting to see this railroad now coming to TSC officially (even if it's just 3rd-party). Interesting indeed.
*sniff* *sniff* I smell an opportunity for TSW in the future.

Wish we'd get quality > quantity

High Iron Simulations and Smokebox - you can expect quality. :)

I really hope a scenario ends with the dispatcher holding you up because a train ahead of you had a derailment, the eighth one this week. I also hope there’s at least allusions to the same train going around the system like four times because none of the major yards could fit it in.

For me, high iron retro packs do not deliver quality at all.

As well as getting lost on the system, and spoiling loads of Maine Potatoes...

Sorry you personally feel that way; a large number of our actual customers clearly feel otherwise about the retro packs released to-date. This upcoming pack has again been developed by a team of long-time and accomplished contributors to Train Simulator.

I find everything that High Iron Simulations provides the best quality in what he puts out.

Minerman146 I've asked the team to follow up privately with you around your email. Partners have the opportunity to create content on what they choose. Given your comments don't directly relate to the pack mentioned in the thread title, I've removed the post, as the conversation is better held one-to-one with a member of our Third-Party team.

Really? Cause most of their products get positive reviews, maybe you expect too much.

My main gripe with HIS, at least as far as routes and the retro packs are concerned, are that they are all focused on East Coast Railroads. The Midwest still needs love in TSC, especially now that the license is opened up with BNSF and their predecessors.

Asking for products that haven't stagnated in quality for the past decade is not too much to ask.

So basically you aren't happy for a loco pack which gives you multiple locomotives?

If you can quote when exactly I said that be my guest

Although the general consensus is (as always) Quality > Quantity

Its quite literally the same old rehashed rolling stock over and over again with diff paint and a few new changes occasionally.
Now, were the rolling stock good to begin with - it'd be a non issue but its stuff from over a decade ago usually but nothing is ever updated. Textures, SOUNDS, physics (aside the brake script Mike Rennie did which I personally find obtuse considering what its usually placed on), lighting/flares etc.

Man... imagine if we had some early diesels akin to the quality of Mikes/Smokebox

These packs are generally equivalent to a Golden Corral buffet... some like it and thats fine, as always to each their own

Theres got to come a point when somthing, anything, changes.

This pack is essentially more DTM, Great Notherner and Dtg/Reppo (the FL9, Likely the only somewhat "modern" peice in this pack not from 2010) rolling stock.

Per the above: Writing what amounts to a review before the product is released is perhaps problematic.
As just a few clarifications of fact ....
    - The SD35 is an all-new model developed in 2021.
    - The FL9 has been significantly revised to represent the locomotives when built as compared to during CDOT service.
    - The GP9 has been further updated and will be included in a range of ex-PRR and ex-New Haven specifications and include unit variants previously unavailable, including the cabless GP9B.
    - Various control and operational enhancements continue to be introduced.
