Besides the Clinchfield livery, today's update includes several minor bug fixes and a lot of enhancements: 1. Additional version - Clinchfield (CRR) livery, clean and dirty. 2. Fixed: - "U.P." missing on rear of weathered version's tender. - small gaps below rear sand dome handholds. - triangular shadow behind the reverse gear steam handle in the cab. - the large multi-sided keys on the left side rods were missing. - whistle "2" end sound not playing. - script crashed if the locomotive's number was out-of-range. - rogue triangle visible on opposite end of firebox door lever. - coal lumps still visibly being thrown into firebox when stoker got blocked. - corrected the UV mapping on a small segment of the side rod multi-keyed nuts. 3. Effects - steam from the exhaust injector changeover and overflow (failed pick-up) 4. Functionality - headlight beam toggle now applies also to the red beam from the tender's back up light. - all pop-up messages can now be switched on and off by clicking on the "Ash Pan Right Front" valve in the cab. - the auto-engineer observes a maximum speed limit of 70mph even if the track speed limit is higher. - by default the auto-engineer applies a safety margin to the target speed, which means it stays a few miles per hour below track speed. That’s suitable for downhill runs as it prevents speeding when the grade suddenly gets steeper. However, for uphill runs the safety margin can be disabled, thereby freeing the auto-engineer to attempt to hold the speed closer to track speed. - moved the head-out (shift 2) camera positions out and forwards slightly to avoid clipping when looking backwards at the tender. - "wind wings" can now be configured (on or off) for AI locos (done in the Scenario Editor by means of the auto-numbering field). 5. Simulation - stoker rate increased from 22,000 lbs/h to 25,478.4 lbs/h. - it's now possible to lose most or all of the air in the auxiliary reservoirs, which in turn drastically reduces the train braking. 6. Texturing- - body of red back up light textured using Substance Painter. - improved texturing of tender brake pistons. - red colour of gauge needles brightened for better visibility. 7 Audio - twin air compressors can now be heard instead of just one. - more realistic injector (live and exhaust) sounds. 8. Controls - more accurate translation from reverser quadrant notch to cutoff percentage. - better throttle response.
It's a free update, so no career scenarios are included (they take a long time to create and test, which would incur a cost and then it would no longer be a free update). I also didn't want to add to the DLC's route dependencies (hence no scenarios for the Rio Grande livery either). I've seen that already one scenario has appeared, for the CRR livery, on the Steam Workshop (thanks Fleegle475!) and I hope more will follow.
