Been doing a bit of Googling and reading the DTG Wiki but can't find the answer to this one - how/where do I enter a description of a route I'm building? Have a funny feeling this is only possible via a custom blueprint whereas most of us doing freeware stuff just pull in a convenient route/terrain blueprint from an existing route. Same goes for adding a covering image.

    Any assistance welcome.

You mean other than the Route Name?

Create a folder called "RouteInformation" in your Route folder, then a language folder according to the description language ("EN","DE","FR" etc.) and inside create your description file, it must be named "Description.html". Put a screenshot with dimensions 256x144 or higher (same ratio though) in the RouteInformation folder and name it "image.png".

Just check another route folder to see exactly how it's being done.

FYI, you can do the same thing with a train. So if you find something missing a screenshot and you see the same kind of train elsewhere, go in and snap a picture then get a good image down to a 256x128 diagram to save in the image location. You can literally copy the info folder from another version of the train, or possibly from another copy of the train in the DLC if that wasn't finished completely. I made an info page for one of the Kuju models that way so it would appear in my menu, and also added a shot of Granfield for the Granfield Branch route where that train was used in one scenario.

I am looking at Birmingham 2010 as a potential route to try out, but lots of trains are missing images in the menu there, so I have to create my own. Some are UKTS freeware trains, but kngtrains models of the day also appeared.
