Glasgow Subway is coming to Train Simulator Classic, 28th April. We spoke to Alan from Thomson Interactive to give us an insight into them and their latest upcoming route. Read More : https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/train-simulator/articles/article/glasgow-subway-coming-soon
Well done and for Thompson Interactive they're now called Rivet Games. The DLC might be the new train. Choices are Frankfurt Am Main U-Bahn London Metropolitan Line and Glasgow Subway for Underground rapid transit routes?
Thomson Interactive isn't rivet, they never were, their owner Alan Thomson (not the youtuber) was part of Rivet but Thomson Interactive was always separate
I am also looking forward to this. I can't imagine it will be a particularly ground breaking route, but it will probably be one that fits well within TS's limits. It has definitely been a "dream" route for a while
Alan is / was a contracted contributor to Rivet Games. Thomson Interactive did not 'become' Rivet Games. (Did you really think DTG would get their own 2nd party developer's name wrong? ). Also, it states in the first post that it is Glasgow Subway.
I dunno..... it will come with ATO (automatic train operation), I'd say that's pretty ground breaking
Wow, I'm amazed that TS can handle that, I take back what i said! Looks like Thomson Interactive Is keeping its top 3 external developer place
There is also going to be an 'audio system' whereby you announce each stop using an in cab P.A. button which sounds great to me! Really looking forward to this.
I am looking forward to this! I love subways, and I also love weird, quirky routes that are easily distinguishable from most content. For those who want an early taste, there is a decent representation of the Glasgow Subway in a freeware game called Metro Simulator. It includes Gen2 trains in various schemes, the newer Gen3 stock, and some maintenance vehicles. https://sim.bemined.nl/wiki/Glasgow
