RSSLO's BR 1822 heads a train of Skyhook's Hbbills wagons from the ÖBB 1044 pack on RSSLO's Südbahn: Bruck an der Mur - Maribor route.
LMS 8F (BMG) and an LNWR G2 Super D (MeshTools) sit idly by the sheds wearing their LMS liveries. Route: Western Lines of Scotland
Given the theme for this week is 3rd Party Content, I was under the impression that those rules were temporarily waived for this week.
Ah. I see what you mean now. I thought "3rd party" meant "not on steam" rather than "not made by DTG." Well I guess it's back to the drawing board for me.
Nice and for the NJDOT Comet Is they were rebuilt in 1985-1989 for the middle door to use NJCL NJ Transit PRR side high-level platforms. Saw this on a 1996-1998 Comet IV 5219 in Clinton, NJ Raritan Valley Line I-78 exits 16-18. you forgot about the Arrow III
RGS #455 pulls a train uphill on one of the Gallagher Trestles. Route: Rio Grande Southern Loco: K-27
Would help if Jamie swinged by, but I also understand this competition as showcasing content not by DTG directly. These competitions are inserted between other marketing elements, and this week is about RSSLO, a 3rd party creator. I personally disagree with the universal workshop ban, I suspect the goal is for us to advertise content available on Steam, which is true to much of the workshop. The most simple examples would be TobBirk's Falmouth or simonmd's ECML-S, both of which only require a couple Steam routes. --- My first entry is the S9BL (3rd party) Class 158 in Northern livery at Frosterley (duh) on the Weardale & Teesdale.
The first transcontinental railroad is completed in 1869 with the touching of two of smokebox's amazing 4-4-0s. Route:Promontory Summit Loco: CP Jupiter, UP 119
DTG uses these screenshots in game as kind of free advertising, kind of hard to do that when it features something that someone can't find on th Steam store or DTG doesn't have the license for.
Here is Aerosoft's Mosel Valley (Koblenz-Trier) with the veteran vR ICE 1. In this run I tried to replicate its original spirit with running it as a regional EMU on Hagen-Siegen.
DTM's AT&SF SD45-2 on Milepost's Raton Pass: Trinidad - Raton route. This recreates a journey I made in 1988 where the lead Amtrak loco failed and an AT&SF loco had to be pressed into service.
Aw bang it! I was going to restage my Snow Drift at Bleath Gill picture that I used in the Where Am I? thread a while ago.
Very hard choice this one some brilliant entry's well done. This weeks winner with DE 24000 on a turntable is carl.headley92 , congratulations. Have a great week everyone Next weeks contest : https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...ontest-august-2023-week-31.72337/#post-692160
i see we back to most likes winning again knew it wouldnt take long until we got back to that again that is now the 2nd screenshot to win the contest for this route overall know well done its a great screenshot i was thinking this would be the one after i seen it
If you are gonna keep complaining about this, how about no one hits likes on any photos anymore, cause apparently that's a problem. Better yet, how about DTG just removes the like feature from the forums...
It's a nice shot from a well received route that can still use advertising. Excluding the shot with the highest votes would be just as bad as always picking it. Besides, we're talking four votes. You might have a commentating extroverted personality but without punctuation it comes across as complaining. Won't get you anywhere. I seem to be ignored by the entire DTG staff myself, they don't even read my private messages. Likely due to my well documented technical reports, if anything. Regardless. Best stay friends with them.
I'm grateful to have won the screenshot contest once again I'm most appreciative because my shots don't always come out the way I hope so when I win I feel honored.
Well sometimes people do not agree the winning picture should be the winning picture. Even me thinks that sometimes but to be honest I had a feeling this was the winning picture for this week. I have not won in a very long time so I thought my Euro Class 159(RSSLO) picture should have a chance but maybe I should had posted it before but I did not think about that loco until just a few hours before deadline. Anyway congratulations to you carl.headley92 for this weeks winning picture.
How many times does it have to be stated It doesn't matter if you attract 500 likes you are still not guaranteed the win.. Likes are not the factor for winning this comp. It is purely down to which image the judge e.g.DT Jamie prefers. Have you ever stopped to think that the best shot will automatically attract likes just because it is a good shot? You could post an absolute amazing nailed on winning shot 5 minutes before the comp closes that has not been posted long enough to gain a single like, It could still win, It has happened in the past.
