1. TSC VISUAL FRAMEWORK TSC Visual Framework brings modern image enhancement technologies to Train Simulator Classic. The project focuses on image stability, depth perception and a more natural presentation of the game world while preserving the original character of the simulator. Rather than replacing the existing visuals, the framework is designed to modernize the rendering experience and address long-standing graphical limitations of the original engine. Developed for players who want to get the most out of Train Simulator Classic. 2. ADAPTIVE EXPOSURE Rapid transitions between bright and dark environments are one of the biggest challenges for older graphics engines. In tunnels, stations and night-time scenarios, important image details are often lost due to extreme lighting differences. The Adaptive Exposure system continuously analyzes the current scene and dynamically adjusts brightness levels to create smoother and more natural lighting transitions. The result is a more comfortable and immersive driving experience under all lighting conditions. 3. WIRE RECONSTRUCTION Overhead wires, catenary systems and other thin geometric structures are among the most challenging elements for modern anti-aliasing techniques. The Wire Reconstruction system identifies these structures in real time and uses the collected information to improve their stability and visibility. This helps reduce flickering and detail loss, particularly at longer viewing distances. The debug view shown here visualizes the framework's real-time wire detection process. 4. TEMPORAL ANTI-ALIASING (TAA) The integrated Temporal Anti-Aliasing system analyzes image data across multiple consecutive frames. By combining image history and motion information, fine details can be reconstructed while significantly reducing visible shimmering and flickering. Vegetation, overhead wires, railway infrastructure and distant scenery benefit from a noticeably more stable image. The debug visualization highlights areas that are processed by the temporal reconstruction system. 5. TECHNICAL INSIGHT TSC Visual Framework is built around a multi-stage analysis pipeline. Various image sources such as edge information, depth data and surface normals are evaluated in real time. These buffers form the foundation for numerous framework features, including image stabilization, depth enhancement and thin geometry analysis. The debug views shown here provide an insight into the internal processes used to analyze the game world. TSC Visual Framework is an ongoing development project by freds.mods, focused on bringing modern image enhancement technologies to Train Simulator Classic. By combining temporal image reconstruction, depth analysis and custom techniques specifically designed for railway infrastructure, the framework delivers a more stable, natural and immersive visual experience while preserving the original character of the simulator.
