DTG REALLY need to fix how they do TSR's in game because they currently AREN'T anything like realistic! In real life the driver knows they have a TSR on the route and they know where it starts and where it ends! they DON'T find out about it when they're within 200 metres/yards of the TSR like the ones in the ECML scenario or the latest one in the Maintenance Madness scenario on the Spoorlijn Zwolle - Groningen route that we find out about when we're almost on top of it. I also don't understand hoe we switch tracks before we stop at Hoogeveen plat 1 and have a speed limit of 140kmh after leaving that stop until we get to the Go Via point where we hit a 40kmh limit that we don't get told about UNTIL the HUD goes red because the display in cab for the ATB is STILL showing a 140kmh limit for the line! HOWEVER as we hit the next Go Via point we get an ATB notification of an 80kmh speed limit coming up. Why isn't the ATB set to alarm us for the 40kmh limit because the work that we pass in the scenario ISN'T emergency maintenance, it would have been planned weeks in advance due to cherry pickers hanging over the running line so the ATB should have been set for it!
To those of us who have dealt with TSR's and ESR's in the real world DTG's management of these in scenarios is utterly frustrating. I mean, I presume they have a copy of the Rule Book and Group Standards for reference purposes so anyone with the slightest clue about railway operations should understand how you place the boards and warning magnets on the track.
They've been given feedback from a real driver too; https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxRkr9pg3Mk71PReAxxULUzp5jwxdFDYCs?si=hsyuuVf0FDvBOmuU
Matt is supposedly very knowledgeable about the railways but things like this still somehow get released. I know the game never has been and never will be an exact copy of real life but things like TSR's should at least be realistic
