Hello there, I don't know if I am too nervous right now or something. I have some questions, that I am sure, are answered somewhere. So the FAQs say, that routes for tsw2 don't work with 2020. But the deluxe edition of tsw2 has the east coastway bundled with it and it has a "preserved" sticker on it. Does it work with 2020 or not. And why does the deluxe edition have a preserved route for that price. Can I still buy east coastway for 2020 and have it for tsw2? Also: Which routes are preserved right now?
If you own East Coastway on TSW2020 you will automatically receive it for TSW2. You do not need to buy the deluxe edition. Preserved routes are not removed from TSW2020 (nothing is removed from 2020 - you lose nothing by upgrading.) If you do not have East Coastway for 2020 and want to play it in TSW2, I suggest buying it for 2020 then you'll have it in both games.
Well with the deluxe edition why its that price is you get eastcoastway added on have a look at the road map to see which routes are or aren't in the preserved collection get the deluxe if you haven't got ECW if you have it then don't get it or if you don't want ECW don't get it. You save money buying the deluxe than buying tsw 2 then ECW
Thanks for the infos guys. The roadmap says that my beloved west somerset is "only" in production. But I am happy that it will be included.
That's the point of Deluxe Editions and similar bundles, isn't it? If you didn't have ECW before, and you want it in TSW 2, then you save money by buying the Deluxe Edition rather than buying the Standard and then ECW separately.
I'd like to have it for both games. But right now, I'll wait and see if it goes on sale for 2020 while tsw2 is 15% off and if the bug will be fixed where you can't play 2020 with tsw2 installed (I need my west Somerset).
