This suggestion is for making working announcements in trains and stations in the game to make it look more realistic.
You have Germany Ingo Ruff LGV Méditerranée SNCF Simon Herault UK Emma Clarke BML ECW Cathcart Circle Ceclia Drumnond. US LIRR Metro-North Bernie Waghenblast.
the Platform Information Screens we're really good that that was added to the game. It would be really great to hear annoucements now in the game! They already discussed it and dev-wise its not hard but mainly getting the license that is the problem (agreement from the person who talks). No idea how far they are with getting those or if there are any plans but it would be really good to see!
DTG should know these German Routes use Ingo Ruff LGV Simone Herault Emma Clarke BKL Anne ECW Cathcart GWML BML.
I wonder on whether they will have the audio translated (should this feature arise), as if you don’t speak or understand the language such as German if you are from an English speaking country, it’s not going to make much sense than if it was random words Also the game impact will not change much as the information it gives will be as effective as if it never spoke
TBH you pick up train announcements pretty quickly, even if you don't know every word you can fairly quickly figure them out. For example Prochain Arret, Naschte Halt, つぎは mean "next station". Sometimes the word order is different so you have to swap around - France for example is Train Type, Number, Destination, Time, Platform. while in the UK it's Platform, Time, Operator, Destination. As features go it's really just an ambiance thing. For the older routes they could commission a few voices, but much like with Flight Simulator, I suspect if you play for more than a while you'll notice the same few voices and same phrasing. They could also commission their own generic ones, but you know the community would kick off for not using the real ones.
