DTG, Great job with the TSW3 core routes. But I would be lying if I said I the preservation upgrades were great. Notable Issues: Cajon Pass Shorthood and Longhood breakers on back wall are backwards. Shorthood controls longhood, longhood controls shorthood. The automatic brake is overwhelmingly weak. Making a 20 pound reduction barely will slow a train on level ground. This is incorrect, I can tell you as a freight railroader even a 6 to 10 psi reduction will greatly reduce the speed of a train, especially those traveling uphill. I'd guestimate the automatic needs to be approx. 20% more effective than it is currently. Peninsula Corridor F40PHC3 The "J" key for ditch light pulse does nothing. Ditch lights do not flash on the locomotive. Bailing off takes far too long to cut the dynamic brake load when in blended braking mode. Weather - far too many lightning strikes in close proximity to trains. In one 10 min timeframe, lightning struck the rail less than 200 feet in front of my train a minimum of 5-7 times. The odds of that happening in real life are practically zero. Boston Sprinter ACS-64 Cruise control is simply broken. When selecting cruise control at a speed, let's say 60 mph, if I select the "Cruise Off" button on the left MFD, it will still remain active and the unit will try to maintain 60 mph. The only exception to this is if you manually throttle or dynamic brake, the unit will do what your lever is doing. Placing the combined power handle back to center, the cruise control resumes function (again, even if you've selected the "Cruise Off" button, and it displays that it is off). If cruise control was previously set, and a brake application is made using the automatic, if one reduces braking to where the brake cylinder is holding below the minimum PSI to engage the dynamic brake, the cruise control will re-engage itself, and jerk the train full throttle to attempt to reach the cruise control setting (again, whether or not cruise is on/off). Kassel - Wurzburg Weather Lightning strikes inside tunnels occasionally. Speed Services limited to 250 km/h... Which ones are and aren't? JD said verbatim in some of the promo videos "You'll be running 280 and STAYING THERE." JD - I'm just joking, I just thought it was somewhat funny the way you said that line. I got a laugh out of it. I'm really not trying to nit-pick you all in the preservation crew. I know you have a difficult task to revamp multiple routes, and trying to upgrade them all to TSW 3 lighting standards, etc - I'm sure it was no easy task. But I haven't seen anyone mention these issues previously, so I figured I attempt to shine some light on them. Overall, I give TSW 3 an 8/10 personally. I've dropped a few of my favorite screenshots below.
