PS5 Tsw 4 Missing Add-ons [resolved]

Hi all is anybody else having problems with their DLC missing or not showing on the PS5
After the update that we had Last week
I’ve reinstalled the Game but the same thing happens iv submitted a ticket to DGT
It’s back to square one

 

Yup, completely random & deleting DLC’s doesn’t seem to help either.

Addons manager broke I reckon.

 

Addon manager was never ever really fully working for me on PS5.. I've had times where I load into the game and I get a lot of random red x's on things. Restart and the problem is gone. I feel the testing done on PlayStation systems is inadequate and forcing that strange code on every other platform is ludicrous.

 

Yep same here. Its around 2 or 3 routes that don't load each time you boot up. Main-Spessart Bahn seems to be always missing, Some times it's Blackpool or Ruhr Sieg Nord.

There is a bigger problem though as half the time the game doesn't even load at all, it just gets stuck about a quarter way. You have to restart the PS5 to stand any chance of booting the game

So yeah, yet another DTG PS5 mess that probably won't get solved before the next coming of Christ

 

I haven’t experienced or heard about this one, I would try a re-install.

 

Same here, I'm almost always missing 4 or 5 routes, and they alternate, never the same ones. And sometimes the loading at the start of the game gets stuck with the bar at about 25% and I have to restart several times until it starts. A disaster with ps5, once again.

 

It happens frequently to me too.
I've uninstalled the game and all add-ons, cleared the ps5 cache, restored the database, reinstalled everything and it's still exactly the same.

 

Ouch, hopefully DTG pick up on it then.

At least this time the Add On Manager is across all platforms, so they’ll presumably have more urgency in looking at it.

Yesterday there was an update to try to fix this problem, have you noticed any difference? In this thread JD asks us about it:

I've lost Blackpool again on my PS5. It was there this afternoon after the update, but has gone MIA again tonight..

 

Restarted the game and it has reappeared. It did the same thing the other night when switching profiles.

 

I didn't see this thread and started a new one in general discussion. Same, I have 47 routes, only 32 showing in game. Pretty annoyed as I just spent £40 on 2 new routes I can't even play. I have the new patch too and has made it worse for me!
Considering how long we waited for the Add ons Manager in the first place, this is unacceptable.

 

So just to log my interest. My Blackpool Ormskirk route decided to say adios this evening and disappeared from TSW 4 on the PS5 as well. It was working this afternoon. Strange thing mind I saved the game (free roam) on BCC and wnet back to the main menu. I then had a look on the seasonal masteries tab and it had stated that all of my materies for the festive seasonal event that i got about 30 minutes earlier had dissapeared and had reverted back to none of the tasks for the seasonal masteries being done.

I am currently re installing everything TSW 4 related. Thats all the 92 / 93 items of DLC as well. Will update in this thread when it has finished. If I am not asleep. I think it stated about 85 minutes to install.

I deleted my US routes and the missing add ons showed up so it's definitely an issue with overall data size. As I wanted to play MML and Niddertalbahn tonight I've not done a count of what's still missing. Perhaps that would give us an indication of max data size that's currently workable until a fix happens.

I have all routes installed but counted 53. Blackpool is now back in the last of routes. But for how long I have no idea.

And this is why I would never choose to have add ons manager, it’s always problems problems problems with that thing

 

i did have all 95 routes on my PS5 I deleted all of my US routes and left the european Routes add ons manager what we need is add ons manager vol 1 and add ons manager vol 2 of add ons manager work together or is it that the us Routes have to much muscle power and need to bring the memory down hopefully there will be a fix for it i hope it's add ons manager version 2 i hope

 

I deleted all German and Swiss content and now all my UK and US routes are back.
Thought we were over this rubbish. Being a loyal customer doesn't seem to mean much these days. Very annoying and frustrating.

 

Also,experiencing this problem. Just bought Niddertalbahn in the PS sale. In about 2 of every 5 times I start up the game, Niddertalbahn is nowhere to be found. Hope this gets fixed soon

 

Although it's not what I would like to see on the forum, I am reassured to see more and more complaints about this problem with each passing day. In fact, I was quite surprised that only a few of us did it at first, compared to the uproar the other time we had the DLC limit problem. For a moment I was worried that it would only affect a few of us, which would make it more difficult for DTG to identify and fix it.

The nightmare is back, now I only have the routes of one country installed, so I can have the layers of all those routes available. The rest of the routes I have uninstalled because if not, it's a matter of chance which ones will appear when the game loads and so you can't play, it's very frustrating because if I want to change country I have to uninstall all the routes again and reinstall those of that new country.

I hope I'm wrong, but I'm afraid that as the number of add-ons increases, the problems with the manager will also increase. I read some users predicting this a long time ago, and I think they will be right.

 

DTG needs to get on Sony’s back and demand the DLC limit be lifted. It’s ridiculous. Play has no limits. Yes it does.

 

Hey guys I am now having the same issue, started playing TSW 4 on PS5 today and noticed 4 of my routes are missing, all locos seem to be there, however 4 of the routes are missing and they are all the newer routes which seems odd, none of the older routes are missing. This is madness and so frustrating, very disappointing

This add ons manager thing is dreadful, its useless, half of the time it doesn't work and has constant problems. I totally agree with what the last user said meMC83 - " Play has no limits. Yes it does" ... perfectly said, I couldn't have said it any better.

ok quick update, I have deleted GWE and Rapid Transit temporarily but still 4 routes are missing, its exactly the same thing as before. (it seems to be all the newer released routes are missing)... this is beyond frustrating, not happy.

 

Hi Guys i have bean thinking of a way to fix the add ons manager for once and for all
my way is very good

have Vol 1 to manger loco and packs vol 1 vol 2 1MB to 1GB
vol 2 to manage smaller size file's from 100MB to 5GB Europen routes
Vol 3 to manage larger files from 100GB to 500GB thats your us routes
Vol 4 to manage the Start screen load time
Im not a Dev but im Autistic and Think differently to others
and update the Add ones manger and make it unlimited and by pass the 64 GB limit

 

Just out of interest, how many people here brought Maintalbahn?

Reason being I deleted this one route only and the last few boot ups of the game, I do believe everything loaded

Please note that if you delete the route, you should hard reset the PS5 for the changes to really take effect

 

I don’t own Maintalbahn, and I’ve got the problem as well. I think one of the latest updates messed up the add-ons manager.

 

When you google PS5 DLC limit, only relevant results relating to TSW come up. Why has it been so hard to come up with a proper working solution? I know you're up against it here, but there just has to be a better way. Best of luck finding a better solution.

Like why not make better use of the features of the PS5 like activities? That way you can jank your code to prioritize loading the route (with usable routes & locos also loaded) the player has selected from the PS5 menu and even load into the route proper, bypassing all the boring intro movies (but probably not the disclaimers/copyrights/etc) and the main menu.

It could result in faster loading for larger collections if you chose to only load relevant DLCs. Provided as an option it would be a good workaround for missing specific DLCs with the added benefit of allowing for quick sessions on specific routes.

Even if there is a limit on the number of activities you can have as well, you could add an option to "favourite" a route up to the limit, which also adds an activity for it. A PS5 specific problem needs a PS5 specific solution.

Also fix the controllers and the "NEW" banner on every route (Except, ironically, TSW4 launch routes) they're getting kinda annoying thanks.

 

I t didnt last very long. I booted up Saturday evening for my stream (first time since Thursday's re install). I noted again the save game (of a 142 on Birmingham Cross City) was not present. So I knew then that Blackpool Ormskirk would not show in the list of routes. I checked on another route (after I counted 53 routes , I should have 54 , including training center) and Maintalbahn was there. I had to reboot as I needed the BPO route for the stream. When I got into TSW the save game feturing the 142 at Birmingham new street was there so I knew BPO was in fact showing up. Having counted and checked the routes I wa still showing 53. I checked to see if Maintalbahn was there and it wasnt. So these are the two newest routes that aree taking it in turns to show up for me. Hope this gets sorted soon.
I have been thinking about using the internal SSD in the PS5 as a standard installation directory for just TSW 4 on it and all the stuff on the internal SSD transfer to the 2TB SSD. Not that it will help with my current problem for TSW4

Just loaded up the game and Blackpool, MML and Niddertalbahn were MIA again even after deleting most US routes. Had to clear out all US except Antelope Valley to get them back. Don't know what has changed but whatever it is, it needs fixing... feels like early TSW3 days before the Add ons Manager!

 

Bit the bullet this morning and bought Midland Main Line - except I can’t play it - despite deleting other routes - because it doesn’t show up in game.



DTG, you really need to get your act together! You are not treating us PS5 players fairly at all.

 

Finally got it working, but only after deleting almost half of the other routes I had installed. So bad.

 

I also thought about buying it along with the Petroleum dlc, but with this problem I have given up. We can't be like this again, installing and uninstalling routes continuously. We need a solution, I hope that when the team is reinstated they will give it top priority.

 

How do you uninstall the add-ons without uninstalling the whole program?

Only if uninstall the add-ons: Is that limited to only the PS5?

Did you have all a PlayStation? Or is this affects the Xbox as well? Whats the reason for this limited space use? Sorry if i missed this information....

 

Yes, it can only be done on ps5. Not on ps4.

Once you have selected the game icon in the main menu, press the options button and select "Manage game content". There you will see all the DLCs you have to install or uninstall.

 

Fantastic, just fired up the game tonight and MML, Blackpool and Niddertalbahn are all missing again, yet I was only playing them last night! I've nothing more to delete without losing layers on my UK and German routes.. this is ridiculous!

 

I now down to 35 routes + locos installed and 13 routes (and appropriate locos) deleted. How much more do I need to delete to have access to the routes I actually want to play? What a joke.

 

Currently I own everything for TSW4 when I boot up its either Blackpool Ormskirk or Maintalbahn missing. The only thing I can suggest is don't delete anything more, just use what you have. Not much you can really do apart from try to reboot and hope that one or all three turn up.

I'm hoping that an urgent need is put on getting this bug fixed as it currently means the PS5 owners are back to square one with content management and dlc limits yet again.

So to throw a huge spanner into the perverbial works of the PS5 content Manager add on saga, Last night I loaded up TSW4 on the ol' PS5 with the usual thoughts of will I have Maintalbahn or Blackpool Ormskirk route on boot up.
When the main screen appeared it showed me a save game. Which for those who have been following these posts is a save game of me driving a Class 142 on BCC.
So if the save game appears I have BPO route available to play, and Maintalbahn does not show up. If the savegame does not show up then the BPO route isn't available to play but Maintalbahn is!!!
Anyhow the the savegame appeared last night so I thought the Blackpool route will be available if I draw it from my bag of routes. It was a route lucky dip stream lastnight. So going to check the routes during the stream last night as well as BPO being there Maintalbahn was also there.

Upon further checking, basicly if you have every single route including the training centre you should have 3 columns of 18 routes taking you to 54. So I had all routes...... Go figure!
I will boot up again this afternoon and see if it's the same but yeah completely surprised and stumped. Lol

It’s certainly a puzzle what’s going on.

 

I'm missing Oakville Subdivision, Rapid Transit and Ruhr Sieg Nord for TSW2. I've bought and paid for them all while playing tsw2020, but for tsw2 I have to purchase them again....

 

I’ve now got the puzzle where I can’t pick some trains for some timetable services e.g. it gives me all the trains possible on the route menu but then shows no services against some of the trains I select, weird!

 

I deleted and reinstalled all my add ons last night (took a while) but everything showed up in the game afterwards. Will check later if they're all still there...

 

How many times has this same problem been observed now since the TSW2 launch of the addon manager, when it first reared its head?

 

To be honest, I am not sure. I only noticed it about mthe 23rd of December when I went to play Blackpool Ormskirk. Having said that I booted up TSW 4 a
gain last night and I had all routes available to me again, So yeah very random.

Just booted up for first time today and Blackpool, MML and Niddertalbahn amongst others are missing again, so reinstalling them only worked once.
I'm showing 36 routes including Training Centre. This is getting me down as the missing routes are the ones I'm wanting to play!

 

I've found that deleting my least used routes has eased the problem. Not great, but at least I can still play my favourite routes, for now

 

It seems like this is one of those annoying issues that just keeps coming back every now and again when some new bit of code here or there trips something and a new patch brings it right back into play after multiple successive patches to fix it.

 

This just happened to me for the first time midway through a free roam when I wanted to add a 31. Noticed that wasn’t on the list so went for 2x37s…. Also missing, then 2x20s…. Also missing… turns out tees valley had gone along with sos and Edinburgh Glasgow that I was only playing yesterday.

Really needs sorting out
