CSX heavy haul is arguably the best North American route for TSW. I notice the models in many areas are far more detailed than the likes of the SD70ace's. It seemed like they had something to prove with that pack because it was their first TSW product. This route would benefit greatly from just a few things: -TSW3 Lighting as well as improvements to ground textures to compensate -Improved Signals -CSX ES44 style locomotive in YN3c paint -CSX SD70MAC Below are images that show that even though this route is 7 years old, it still stacks up to new content. Honestly, the model of the AC44 is better than the BNSF ES44. Even the wheels on the CSX AC44 have realistic shiny wheels. The shiny underside of wheels in CSX Heavy Haul really adds realism. Something that is not present in their later releases.
...and perhaps, after seven years, the level crossing road repair would finally be over at Sand Patch? I'd prefer that the routes to TSW did not include such quickly outdated details. This is fine in TSC, where we can go into an editor and add or remove road/track work at will. But TSW doesn't have an editor and watching a street surface replacement going on for seven years is ridiculous. Even if it is the USA.
I remember very clearly that I failed the first time I climbed the mountain. I succeeded after looking up a lot of information. I thought I could run to Philadelphia, but when I reached the finish line in the game, I found that the mileage created by DTG was very limited.
With a remaster to CSX Heavy Haul, I'd love to see the CSX ES44AHs, CSX Heritage ES44AHs (especially the WM, B&O, and Chessie units, as all three RRs served Cumberland), ET44AH, SD70AC, GP40-2, Genset Switcher, MP15DC and/or MP15AC, and/or CW60AC/ES46AH (although these are no longer on CSX's roster). A CSX rebuilt SD40-3, GP40-3, GP38-3, and/or SD23T4 would be awesome to see. Also, CSX's OCS Train with their F40PHs and an Amtrak P42DC or ALC-42 Charger with the Capitol Limited should be added. Of course, the sounds (especially the horns and bells) should be upgraded. Also, we should get the following rolling stock added: -Steel Coil Cars -New autoracks -New intermodal well cars
If DTG can continue to expand its US route mileage, that's what I want. But DTG's development tools can't scale for it. If it needs to scale, it needs to be remade. I never believe that if a commercial company can't continue to scale, then what's the point of their development tools?
