The filter for livery designer doesn't let me search. Also I downloaded Oakville route with the Canadian National GP9 and GP38. It's not showing up for designer , I would love to design liveries for the GP9 at least
Old trains were eventually stopped to bring them to livery designer support. It takes a really long time (some trains took about a month to get it compatible). There's still a lot of trains in the legacy collection so dtg decided to stop updating it. If the train ever gets remade in a future route, it'll have the support
For being LD compatible, the whole 3D mesh of the loco must be changed, to define the areas than can be recoloured. This is indeed a lot of work without any benefit for the devs, and a high chance of compatibility issues (remember the broken wipers on GWE for more than half a year?). For DTG, not worth the amount of work. It's legacy DLC from a time when there was no Livery Designer.
Yea i hope they come out with a new route for cn and add the gp9 to be compatible, or a remaster. We have a local train museum that has a GP9 with its own unique livery and I wanted to do it in designer
I was thinking the same thing, you also can’t design the Rib sided hopper from the NS route Horse shoe curve
