So what happened when it was said that TSW2 content would be removed from purchase for TSW3 versions. As it was said if you purchase the train sim compatible version you got the TSW3 and TSW2 version. Well it was never removed and you could always still purchase TSW2 content. In fact you can still purchase TSW 2020 content if you wanted to.
The TSW2 content was put back on because it transpired that left no means for those who didn't upgrade to be able to buy addons for TSW2, oops. You can only buy a TSW3 dlc if you own TSW3 - so leaving that as the only means to get TSW2 content didn't work. BUT if you buy TSW3, and then buy TSW3 DLC, then you do automatically get the TSW2 version of it if it exists. If you don't have TS3, just buy the TSW2 DLC directly, and then if at some point you upgrade to TSW3 it'll all come across to TSW3 automatically for free as well. Hope that helps. Matt.
