Can you explain why Frankfurt S-Bahn and Manchester Airport don't have trophies / achievements?

We all suspect it's because of those routes skipping Gen 8 consoles, but other games, for example Cyberpunk 2077, have released DLC only on Gen 9 and been quite capable of adding trophies for the DLC on the PS5 version but not the PS4 version of the game so it is technically possible to deliver.

 

Guys will Dovetail Direct be announced on today's roadmap because it was mentioned on last year's July Roadmap. If it does then the cat would secretly be out of the bag

I'd like to ask of the issue of Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish localization support gone for recent DLCs, how "focus on our key audiences" means stopping support, and why this have happened - you're literally driving customers away from you.

If under such circumstances a human translation team are costly and unaffordable (if so I'd question DTG's finances first), would machine / AI translations be considered?

After the recent optimization updates to reduce memory crashes, is there a chance to get the full timetable for Frankfurt S-Bahn on consoles or does it need more optimization (e.g. reduce blurry textures) to release the complete timetable?

The fife circle 158 timetable, is this going to release?

We've seen some nice clarity on the content that's coming for tsw5 and that which is coming after tsw6 releases, but you haven't listed the fife timetable at all in the roadmap. It seems a shame to give such clarity on all other dlcs and leave this one out entirely.

Please can we just get a statement as to whether it is going to be a tsw5 or tsw6 release, even if you're just aiming for one and not sure if it'll make it, many people would like to know roughly where it is and added to the roadmap.

 

Why no mention of the Skyhook timetable for Fife Circle? Considering that Skyhook confirmed on their Discord they gave it to DTG in March, why the delay?

By the way if TSW6 will be for gen 8/ 9 will the routes from the roadmap/ core routes be gen 9 exclusive

because that's what happened to the Manchester Airport Commuter/ Frankfurt S Bahn/ BR 194 and E94 railtour pack.

They only mentioned TSW6 itself (the core content) in the announcement, but what they didn't say is whether future addons will also support Gen8.

 

Well future add-ons won't support gen 8, I have evidence from TSW5

 

Is there any news on Scotrail Class 158 getting added to Fife Circle?

 

Sony will officially end support for the PS4 later this year, and what that means for DTG is still completely unclear so any claims about continued Gen8 support simply can’t be made. Besides, you can clearly see that non-Gen8 routes offer far more possibilities, so the idea that upcoming addons won’t include Gen8 support sounds quite plausible. That’s separate from the core routes that TSW6 will offer, which DTG will still provide along with Gen8. The future in that regard is anything but clear.

 

In light of the upcoming 101 Expert timetable for Kassel-Würzburg, is there a fix planned for the broken Expert timetable on Frankfurt-Fulda?

I think I can give you an answer to that and just to be clear, it’s not my own answer but one that was previously shared by the developer cwf.green in the forum, although I can’t find the exact post right now.

The story is that the developers imported the Kinzigtalbahn timetable a bit too quickly, and it still had some annoying bugs in it. These are the ones still present in the 101 Expert timetable. DTG has made many adjustments since then, but this means the entire Expert timetable for the 101 would have to be rebuilt from scratch. From what I understand, that would take so much time that it’s not currently on their short-term planning. They do intend to address it eventually, but not anytime soon.

Long story short, the updated Expert 101 timetable is not expected until at least autumn.

 

So, can I confirm that because I own TSW5 (paid last year), with the starter pack I can go to 6 with all my existing content entirely free?

NVM - found it in the other thread.

 

Just one off the top of my head... Does the acquisition of the Cross Country (XC) licence mean we could see a Class 220 and 221 Voyager and a suitable route on which to run them. Unappealing to travel on but much needed in the game and the engine sounds are nice, especially if the cab levels get a buff.

Now you have confirmed TSW6, do you have any updates you can provide on how/if we may be able to access Caltrain in the new iteration? I think in a previous roadmap you mentioned the teams were working to see how this could affect future access etc.

 

-What happened to the Manchester Airport patch, which was supposed to activate TSW5 track shadows, but didn't do so, at least on Steam?
-Are there any plans to fix the audio popping on the 153?
-Will the new Rivet 170 come with a sound fix, seeing as there are currently no running sounds when the throttle is at idle and there are some very weird/shrill/loud running sounds upwards of 90mph?

 

I dont know if thats already too much, but will there be a new major feature for Tsw 6, similar to Tsw 5 introducing conductor mode? Not asking what it will be just if there will be something.
