Ok, I installed TSW3 again to compare loading times. (PS5) Measure from first click to press any key TSW3 takes 1.16 TSW4 takes 1.58 How long does it take TSW5 to load? Crazy nearly a whole 2 minutes just to launch the TSW4?
PS5 Haven’t done messurements yet, but feeling is that the loading time (game boot as well as route loading) is absolutely the same as was is TSW4. Maybe only PC version boots faster like was said in some ambasador streams, PS5 is propably doing it’s best he can.
Loading time varies with the number of DLC installed. As such, TSW5 will take slightly longer than TSW4, if you installed all your owned DLC, because the total number of DLCs has gone up with the TSW5 specific content.
Usually there is a trend where new products tend to get better than the old products through inovation? When TSW7 comes out we will have to remote start our playstation and TSW when we stop for lunch at work to be able to play it when we get home, might be loaded by then. I know it takes a long time for TSW4 to load, but never timed it before, like a whole 2 minutes you could say, its like being back in the commodore 64 or sinclair spectum days, where the games were loaded from a tape deck and they took ages to load. I think TSW needs to have the loading system looked at.
I choose not to install old routes that I haven't touched in more than a year, and the routes that do not bring much to other routes in terms of layers. You can speed it up a lot like that.
