Welcome to the British section of the Group Stages of the inaugural TSW Loco World Cup! We've got a lot of routes to wipe out here, so let's have a look at what's lined up: Group A (CLOSED) Class 142 'Pacer' - 44 Votes Class 45 - 15 Votes Class 20 - 13 Votes Class 33 - 5 Vites Group B (CLOSED) Class 87 - 41 Votes Class 158 - 16 Votes Class 313 - 10 Votes Class 08/09 - 5 Votes Groups A and B (above) were both done alongside the Preliminary rounds and are final results. Group C Class 40 Class 52 Class 323 Class 390 (P1) 1972 Tube Stock Group D Class 150 Class 465 Class 700 (P2) Class 66 Group E Class 31 Class 350 Class 801 'Azuma' (P3) EMT Class 43 'HST' Group F Class 101 Class 380 Class 395 (P4) Class 387 Group G Class 47 Class 166 Class 710 (P5) ROG Class 37 Group H Class 170 Class 314 Class 385 (P6) Flying Scotsman Group H is probably the most remarkable group here because every entry here is Scottish with exception to the Flying Scotsman - which counts based on the name. Note: (P×) next to a route name indicates it's ranking along Preliminary winners. 1 = best, 6 = lowest. Voting & Rules You will be awarded 6 (Six) votes in this poll - one for each group. You don't have to use it this way but it would be preferable if you did. Out of each group, the top TWO routes in each group progresses to the Second Round. There is no Third-Place Race for the UK Section. You may not change your vote after submitting it - so choose wisely.
So far, I actually agree with the choices people have made. A shame to have the 801, 43 and 31 all in the same group as it means one of these will be lost.
At least the Class 31 is heading the field by a nose. Can’t believe the Class 40 is losing out to the Pendie, though.
Yes, like I say, that group the 31 is in could easily have three of the four entrants go through so glad to see it doing well and competing rather nicely for a spot. I honestly don't know either, I certainly disagree with that, the 390 just doesn't feel right when I've driven it, I don't know whether its down to the route and how choppy it is, but it just doesn't feel like it handles correctly. It being a WC machine I have never driven one and only very rarely been on one as a passenger so they may just feel very awkward in real life as well, but I doubt it.
Kinda funny how rivets class 150 only has one vote though overall what I've seen so far there is a ton of bias towards more modern or fast trains in the uk.
Rivet’s 170 looks set to get out of its group so I’m pretty sure it’s due to how terrible the sounds and physics are on the 150.
