Welcome to the Preliminary Round of the TSW Loco World Cup: This being the UK Section. Preliminary Locos / Voting Let's take a look at the format being used here: The UK has 43 routes and a poll on this forum only allows 25 - so we've got to trim that down a bit. The way we do this is preliminary rounds - a run-off between similar locos or specific types for the sake of elimination. We have 11 routes set to be lost here - split into 6 categories. These are: Electrostars (1) Class 375 Class 377 Class 387 Tube Stock / Island Line Stock (2) 1972 TS 1938 TS Class 484 Class 483 Class 37 Variants (3) Class 37 (TVL/NTP) Class 37 ROG Class 66 Variants (4) Class 66 (Standard) RHTT Class 66 Steam Locomotives (5) Fowler Class 4F Stainer Class 8F Jubilee Class Flying Scotsman HST Variants (6) GWR Class 43 EMT Class 43 But wait, that's not all... Because we're left with 32 from this cut, we'll have to spread the group stages out for the UK. To do so, we've got two groups from the Group Stages here. That is one for each preliminary and each group. There are a total of 25 locos in this poll so there will be no blank entries. Not surprisingly, the Pacer and 87 are coming top. Quite surprised about the votes for the 66 so far.
