This may seem like kind of a noob question, but I haven't been able to find any information on this topic. So, for the sake of realism and just pure curiousity, what is the proper, by-the-book way to shut down the GP38-2 & GP40-2 locomotives? I know that I could easily just pull the main breaker switch to kill it, but I know there's a proper way (i.e. going down a checklist, just like the start-up sequence in the TSW Manual) to shut off the engines. Any info, links, checklists, or PDF's would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
Please disregard this question. I obviously had a SEVERE idiot-attack, completely missing the "START/STOP/ISOLATE" switch and "ENGINE SHUTOFF" button.
Lol, that’s not a stupid question at all. That’s what everyone is here for to help out when someone needs it. I will point you to this website as it does have a lot of information and has start up procedures for every locomotive! https://train-sim-world.fandom.com/wiki/Train_Sim_World_Wiki
