Welcome to the Train Sim World Screenshot Contest! This week's theme is: Reproduce a Photo You can vote for next week's theme in the poll attached to this thread. How does it work? You can submit your screenshot to the thread, and every Monday we will choose which screenshots will go to the loading screens. Shortly after, we will open a new thread and announce the winners. Each week has its own theme which is voted for by the community. Competition Rules: Limit is 2 screenshots per person; 1 screenshot per post. Include in your post the route the screenshot was taken on as well as the name of the train (if applicable). Screenshots must be in a 16:9 resolution, at least 1920x1080 pixels, even better if it’s 4K! Screenshots may be taken on Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X & S or Steam. Submissions must fit the theme of the week, as stated at the beginning of this post. Other Rules: Official content only. Please make sure anything that is not available on the Steam Store or Dovetail Store is not shown in the screenshot. - This means no community mods. No entries to include vehicles using Livery Designer. Due to licencing limitations we are unable to use these images. Your entry may be disqualified if it is deemed to not follow these rules. Please limit chat to only when absolutely necessary. Competition closes at mid-day Monday (UK time). The winner will be chosen every Friday. Winner's Prize: The winning screenshot will appear in the game as a loading screen for 4 weeks! How To Get shots: Setting up the shot If you are playing on Steam the keys “2” or “3” will offer a selection of pre-set external views, or you can use “8” to get a free camera with more control. If you are playing on console pressing the right joystick will give you a free external camera. Console players can change the camera angle moving the two joysticks, and on Steam the direction keys and mouse will achieve the same results. Taking as a Railfan Shot Make sure “Hide the UI” is on in settings, then... Xbox One – Hold the X button. PlayStation – Hold the Square button. Steam – Press Ctrl + F10 … Railfan shots can then be found in your Profile at trainsimworld.com. Route: East Coastway. Train: Class 313. I have no idea what I have to do so I'm just going to post a nice autumn picture.
As a suggestion, I would suggest to include the original photo on top of your entry as well, otherwise, it defeats the purpose of the theme.
C40-8W, Mile 17, CSX Kingsport Subdivision (formerly Clinchfield RR) Am submitting two versions, because the game's milepost is placed farther from the tunnel.
Route: Hamburg-Lübeck Loco: DB BR146 Location Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (unfortunately cant place train on same track like in original pic)
Route: SOS; Liverpool Lime Street - Crewe Train: 8F Added a little black and white filter for fun and if you don't like that I can change it to the normal colors.
This is a difficult theme to do here's mine which I tried to replicate the original 1S28 Victoria to Dover Priory via Faversham at Chatham The original which I tried to replicate is this weblink https://www.flickr.com/photos/136510631@N08/24484892565
^^ We have to work with the "tools" which are given to us. The camera possibilities are limited. There is no possibility to manipulate view angle and no foto editor is implemented so everyone tries his best.
I agree! This is my first time ever, I can not be able to participate on this Conquest! Despite I am busy these days, I took half hour yesterday for searching pictures, on various pages, but no one could match. Due to it is the right train, but on a different route, or the right station but with more trains with models not available, or not possible to have together. So good luck for the ones who did it!
I voted for it because of the challenge, which i have obviously understimated. Attached you will see the idea, however i am absolutely not satisfied with the result.
And that is what I exactly did. It does let me catch up with likes and a lot of you guys should do the same, if you want to win.
I hear you! I´ve spent quite some time to find pictures which could be reproduced. Pics taken with zoom lenses, in example, are impossible to reproduce in the sim. TSW´s limitations in routes and stocks also do not help. The research alone though can be fun. Brought back some memories in my case. And I think that´s what it is all about. Just for the sake of participating and fun! We are all train buffs here and I have no illusion to win this contest with my lowly PS4 on 1080p. No way to beat the high-res pics from the PC crowd. But cool!
Loco: Ge_4-4_ii Route: ArosaLine Scenario: Arosa Southbound Wish I could have gotten the train numbers matching, but hey, it's only off by four. The reason for this being here, in the actual photo you can see this. In the game shot it is there however you can barely see it.
Loco: MP36PH-3C Route: Peninsula Corridor Timetable/Service: 20Ep_Souththbound To view this image larger, see the link below. https://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=543924

Your link to the reference pic doesn´t seem to work, at least not for me. You might want to fix this.
