Hello and Wilkommen to the UK and EU Play-offs for the 2026 TSW World Cup.

Please read the 'voting/rules' section for this one.

Fresh off the back of the Group Stages, a total of 13 routes come into the two play-off divisions to decide which routes make it into the final round!

Let's take a look at them.
    UK
The UK is comprised of four knockout ties and acts as a preliminary round to the wider bracket, narrowing down 20 routes into 16.

    Game 1
    Brighton Mainline (3rd, Group A)
    Vs
Peak Forest Railway (3rd, Group D)

    Game 2
West Somerset Railway (4th, Group D)
    Vs
Manchester Airport Commuter (4th, Group A)

    Game 3
    Midland Mainline (3rd, Group B)
    vs
    WCML: Birmingham - Crewe (3rd, Group C)

    Game 4
Tees Valley Line (3rd, Group E)
    Vs
Mildmay Line (=4th, Group C; chosen by coin-toss)

The winner of these games will go into a pre-determined position in the UK bracket.

    Europe
This one's more simple. Five routes go into one big group; two come out.

    The routes are:
    Tharandter Rampe,
    Kassel - Würzburg,
    Maintalbahn,
    Niddertalbahn, and,
    S-Bahn Vorarlberg.

    VOTING / RULES
You will be awarded FIVE votes in this poll.

These are to be used once in each vote; i.e. one for each UK tie and one for the European group.

Please do NOT use multiple votes in the European group. If you only want to vote in a couple of votes just don't use your vote or hit one of the blank '...' options. Thank you.

    Voting open for 48 hours.

Do wonder if the EU vote would be more clear cut if we’d have had 2 votes to allocate given 2 go through

Probably, but I think it's would be quite boring as it would inevitably be that the two most popular routes do well, whereas with these rules it's likely that people will vote for their first and that gives the outsiders a chance. I may be totally wrong, of course. Just a guess.
