Tsw2 Dlc Updates

    I can't find the post now but shortly after TSW3 was released DTG announced that some DLC for TSW2 would be updated to incorporate the changes made when they were ported to TSW3. The Bakerloo line was one such.
    AFAIK no TSW2 DLC has been updated to TSW3 standard. If correct can DTG please let us know if the original commitment will be honoured?

    Boston Sprinter was updated to TSW3.

    At the right price I would be tempted for SOS. Obvs I cant say for sure but I think SOS has the full 3 treatment. Please correct me if I am wrong.

    Boston Sprinter, Sherman Hill & SoS were all updated to ToD4

    Indeed, Boston Sprinter, Sherman Hill, Spirit of Steam, and Southeastern Highspeed are upgraded, but Bakerloo wasn't. It received a new timetable (which is still on the roadmap for coming to TSW2) but it doesn't have any new features apart from more services.

    Thanks. It was Bakerloo I was interested in. The TSW2 timetable doesn't allow enough time to set up the train at the start so you're late before you've started!
    Perhaps DTG can comment on when the TSW3 timetable will be added to the TSW2 Bakerloo line?

    They say that the bugfixes on the roadmap for TSW2 are complete, and a waiting for a release window to open up. They say because the TSW2 update is so big, they have to wait for MS, Sony, Epic and Steam to let them roll out this update. It makes little sense to most people, but that has been their story for the past couple of months. Most people seem to have given up on waiting for the TSW2 patches (and are rightfully upset). Hopefully the patch can be rolled out soon.

    Indeed the new timetable does give about a minute of setup time before asking you to open doors, and it is much easier to keep time.

    is tsw2 dead, i mean no new content, fixes, improvements, if so i will play what i have, it seems to me in my opinion that the quest for the creators of tsw is to hopefully sell the game until you have tsw 1,2,3,4,5,6,7.8.9.10 etc. is it just a cash cow?, i understand you gotta earn a few quid but to sell the same thing over and over again is rather ea, ish rubbish. or is that the objective, 25 quid per route is extortionate when you have to pay 35 more pounds every time the creators decide your game is no longer worth maintaining/fixing supporting, just a simple question will any new content be made for tsw2? if not hey ho ill stick with what i have as im not interested nor can afford tsw3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13

    The other thing to consider is that TSW2 is now delisted software (at least it is on Steam). Obviously I do not exactly know how the whole process works but potentially patching delisted software may also complicate things

    No more content for tsw2. When a new tsw comes out, only that is supported. Regarding the cost, you aren't required to buy everything.

    It is backwards compatible to tsw2. So buying any legacy routes that have the compatible logo in tsw3 works in tsw2. It would just not have any pres crew updates. The main issue is that it's still waiting for a release slot and also incorporating all the updates made to pres crew updates in tsw3. It is lower priority since tsw3 content is first.

    andyt741, I had TSW3 and all the DLC, and I have now returned to playing TSW2 (my choice). My RailDriver works much better in "2" and there are other advantages as well, just the newer DLC is not available.

    TSW2 died the day TSW3 was released. They delisted it on Steam and Xbox (and PS as far as I'm aware too) We are still waiting for the last round of preservation crew updates and the 143 achievement on DRA to be fixed but this is DTG and fixes aren't something they're overly bothered about!

  14. as someone that has played TSW ever since 2017 i can say to u now dovetail are way passed the stages of ever doing anything with TSW2 is done simple upgrade or more on simple
