this suggestion is a sort of extension to my fife circle line suggestion i made the locos: The British Rail Class 158 Express Sprinter is a diesel multiple-unit passenger train, built for British Rail between 1989 and 1992 by British Rail Engineering Limited at its Derby Litchurch Lane Works The British Rail Class 170 Turbostar is a British diesel multiple-unit (DMU) passenger train built by Bombardier Transportation The British Rail Class 43 (HST) is the TOPS classification used for the InterCity 125 High Speed Train power cars, built by British Rail Engineering Limited from 1975 to 1982, and in service in the UK since 1976. The British Rail Class 220/221 Voyagers are a class of diesel-electric high-speed multiple-unit passenger trains built in Belgium by Bombardier Transportation also along the route, is LNER traffic The British Rail Class 801 Azuma is a type of electric multiple unit (EMU) built by Hitachi for LNER also when driving this route, dont forget to look out for the famous tay bridge viaduct just outside dundee maybe as a loco DLC: The Class 68 is a type of mainline mixed traffic diesel-electric locomotive manufactured by Stadler Rail for Direct Rail Services in the United Kingdom. The design is derived from the Stadler Eurolight, and Stadler's product name for this variant is the UKLight.
Another route that would be a day one buy for me. I think any LNER trains would be added as a layer from another route as I they don't run enough services to be added in the base route. As much as I would love to see a Class 68 especially in ScotRail livery it wouldn't make sense on this route as they only ran on the Fife Circle Line and would never go as far as Dundee in normal service although it would be nice to have it as a layer moving a failed train to Dundee or something like that
