Something different this time, My idea is a fantasy U.S railroad 30-50 mile coal and logging switchback railroad Elkwood and Bear Patch Railroad (based in the hills of WV) The goal of this railroad is to serve the town of Elkwood, there coal and wood essentials, and other places of the U.S , with a 8 track yard in Elkwood , then once you get to east part of the line is where the transload facility is, which is after the 8 track yard. Then heading west and out of Elkwood 20 miles is the first switchback, then 2 miles to the second switchback, the heading up the second switchback , 3 miles is the third switchback, also the switchbacks are named bear patch since bear patch used to be a town here at one time but, due to the local mine fire, everyone left the town and is now abandoned, and the local firefighters got the fire out , but no one ever came back to live here again. Then heading up the third switchback 28 miles is a switch where one direction in a mile you go to the logging site , and the other direction in a mile you will go to the coal mining site. This route is very unique because of the bear patch switchbacks, scenery, the old abandoned town of bear patch, and the commitment the railroad has to serving the town of Elkwood and other places in the U.S . Also, this route has passing sidings for the passing of other trains. Locos include GE 70 ton locomotive (main power) GE 44 ton locomotive (secondary power) Plymouth switcher locomotive (yard switcher / local switcher) Also it doesn’t matter how many locos are on the route at once. Example you could have 2 Plymouth switchers and 9 44ton locomotives . Rolling stock includes Coal cars Flatcars with spikes to hold logs Also the railroad does the occasional passenger train The passenger cars they use are one that cass scenic railroad uses for their trains Caboose
