Hello, I would like to start with TSW2 on the PS5 soon and have made an overview of all the expansions. I found four extensions that I'm not sure if I can still buy them at all. Based on the trophy packs, the compatible extensions appear to be missing. These are the extensions: - Southeastern High Speed - Southeastern BR Class 465 - London Underground Bakerloo Line (for 1938 Tube Stock) - Spirit of Steam: Liverpool - Crewe For Southeastern High Speed I only found the TSW3 version - and it doesn't say anything about compatibility with TSW2. I don't find BR Class 465 at all. I can still see the extension on the psprices page, but the link to the store no longer works. According to the description, the London Underground Bakerloo Line extension is required for 1938 Tube Stock. Does that mean the Pack Rush Hour London Commuter? However, the text only says the Brighton Main Line... Last but not least there would be Spirit of Steam, for which I can only find a TSW3 version like Southeastern High Speed. Again, there is nothing about downward compatibility mentioned. Can you no longer reach 100% on trophies in TSW2 PS5? Apart from trophy bugs of course. I would be happy if you could help me.
I play on XBox, but the same is true for MS Store. When TSW3 launched, they took TSW2 out of the stores, so you can no longer buy it. TSW3 came with Southeastern High Speed Extended, a superset of both the TSW2 Southeastern High Speed DLC and the BR Class 465 DLC. The TSW3 edition contains the 465 EMU, so the separate DLC made no sense anymore. So, both of those DLCs were also pulled out of stores. A similar thing happened with Spirit of Steam: there's a new Spirit of Steam Starter Pack for TSW3, so they eliminated the old one from stores. The only one that had a different fate is Bakerloo: this was never a separate DLC, it was one of the routes that came with TSW2. So, if you owned a TSW2 license, you got Bakerloo, Sand Patch and Koln-Aachen routes as part of the purchase. When upgrading to TSW3, you should get the licenses for these routes to play with the new game.
yardem First of all thank you for the information. I bought a TSW2 Edition some time ago and haven't started it yet. Then I probably won't be able to earn Southeastern High Speed (and BR Class 465) and Spirit of Steam. I can understand optimizing content for TSW3, but I can't understand taking it out for TSW2. All other content was finally updated in the store and made compatible. It doesn't make much sense why this bit of content shouldn't be treated equally...
I don't know the logic behind pulling out TSW2 and that content out of the stores, but it probably has to do with licensing of the routes. Maybe someone else could explain, as I wasn't around when it happened.
I think there is an other reason. Tsw2 included 3 routes and the price were 30 Euros. After the removing of TSW2 new customers have to buy each of that routes for 30 Euros.
