PlayStation Tsw2 Rapid Transit - Trainsounds

    I know that the soundmix on all of the preserved routes has suffered heavy damage with the move to the new UE engine. There's been a lot of complaining about that. So far, I have kept my mouth shut and learned to live with it for the time being.

    But today I did my first TSW2 session on RT, and on this route the soundmix is so abismal that I decided I had to speak up as well. The trainsounds are sooo far down in the mix, they're practically non existing and it destroyed any feel of immersion during my session. I have completed all tutorials and the first scenario, but I won't be going back to RT unitll this gets fixed. It's unplayable.

    The feeling of immersion in a game is (and I quote Sam as said in a recent stream) 40% video, 60% audio. DTG, please don't wait untill all preserved collection is imported. Stop production of new content and work on other perserved collections. Go back into the preserved routes that are already out and fix the sound. Playing those routes is a lot less fun (for me, at least) because the soundmix is so bad. The importance of sound can not be underestimated. It is the most important component for immersion.

    The new routes are ok for sound, but as far as the preserved routes go, I'm afraid the report card is an F at the moment. Especially on RT

    Totally agree. For me it was RSN that was a step too far. The 143 and 155 being barely audible.

    How these class as released products is beyond me.
