This is a new Crossrail line that opened on the 24th of may and it takes only 29 minutes or 31 minutes to ride through all stations. This line runs on class 345 trains. This route was supposed to open in 2018 but was delayed until 2022.
The Elizabeth line is the fastest train going around london at the moment. It would be good seeing this in TSW 2.
I hope you like the suggestion!
And also have a nice half term take care!

thing is it takes 30 or so minutes but the actual length and the complexity that the route brings is a big challenge

But I think let’s just do the new Elizabeth line branch that opened in 24th so it’s more easy

It would be awesome if we got Reading to Liverpool Street but even when it opens that will never happen. But I'd buy Abbey-Wood - Paddington. Watched a bit of Geoff Marshall and he certainly likes it, probably a bit too much. ;)

Elizabeth Line can be sold as a Bundle with an upgraded GWML London Paddington to Reading with activated 25kv 50hz OHLE. As a bundle called the heart of London Abbey Wood to Reading Railway Station via Paddington.
Core section is CBTC overlaid on ETCS.

Abbey Wood to Paddington is a dual track OHLE metro style (mostly underground) A2B line with the depot at Plumstead requiring a runaround at the southern end to get onto the main tracks.
Not sure how much actual gameplay it give with only four things to do...
    • from depot to abbey wood / reverse
    • Abbey Wood to Paddington
    • Paddington to turn around at Westbourne and back to Paddington Eastbound
    • Paddington to Abbey Wood
Given the thing operates (in current form) 6:30 to 23:00 that's 400 services a day, 200 turnarounds, a few ECS moves for morning setup and the depot moves.
Sounds like an awful lot of exactly the same to me (again, most of it's underground so even time of day or month of the year would only affect short portions of the route)

Once the Paddington EL - GWML link is opened the Reading journeys will be available, making 1/6th of journeys above ground. Add in the Heathrow trains (have them terminate at Hayes And Harlington if we can't get permission for the Heathrow link) and you've got 1/3rd of journeys going above ground for at least ~50% of their route. Also, Paddington trains even now are using the link tunnels for depot moves from/to OOC.

I was just about to suggest the Elizabeth Line (Crossrail) myself! But yeah, it would be great to see another inner-city London commuter route, especially one as sleek/new as this (and the 345 seems like it would be very enjoyable to drive). Potentially the route could be Abbey Wood - Heathrow?

Yeah but you can't always avoid having ATO in game else in a few years you won't have a game

Read the title of the post. Only Abbey Wood to PAD is being suggested

Westbourne Sidings to Pudding Mill Lane and Abbey Wood.

The plan at Paddington is for fully automated turnbacks, with the train driving to the sidings and then reversing into the station while the driver walks through the train to the other cab.
