Today, I'm suggesting that the BR Class 35 (Nicknamed Hymek). The Locomotive The BR Class 35 is a type of small diesel hydraulic locomotive built in the early-1960s. 101 of the class were built between 1961 and 1964, when it became apparent that there was a requirement for a medium-power diesel-hydraulic design for both secondary passenger work and freight duties. British Rail retired this class between 1971 and 1975. Out of the 101 built: 4 are preserved with the rest scrapped. * Which Route? As TSW2 currently doesn't have a route set in the western region during the 1960s, I suggest that this locomotive should be added to the West Somerset Railway. This would make sense as D7017 and D7018 are both currently preserved at the WSR. * - Information from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_35
If we ever got a period Cotswold Line these would fit in nicely. I’ve also seen pictures of them out in West Wales on the long closed line to Newcastle Emlyn. At a pinch could sub for the 31’s on GWE Diesel Legends.
This will be the first TSW2 Diesel Locomotive to use Vacuum Brakes. In TS Classic sister game forums this is not an easy Locomotive to play due to Vacuum brakes.
