I have seen/read some of us say how bad/boring GWE really is (personally, it's my favourite route in TSW/TSW2 so far) and the DLC that followed (DLotGW). I suggest that we have 1930s version of GWE. Locomotives: GWR Castle Class (for express passenger) GWR Hall Class (un-modified) (for express passenger, local passenger and freight) GWR 57XX Pannier (for local services, shunting and station pilot at Paddington) All in all, I'm basically suggesting that GWE should have a steam equivalent. I'm not asking it to be like Diesel Legends of the Great Western at all..
This could be done and would be enjoyable but I think GW steam is so synonymous with the English Riviera that a 30s Western route would feel wrong without zipping past the sea. But any more steam routes, especially with three steam legends would be welcomed by me.
I would go along with this, but how about a new route - King or Castle class out of Birmingham Snow Hill? The route could be Banbury to Wolverhampton, or in TSW2 limitations maybe Leamington Spa to Wolverhampton. That would give us the opportunity for the wonderful old Snow Hill station and also a busy freight timetable.
This should be good and for GWR 57xx Duck it can also run with an Autocoach for Commuter service. For DLC locomotives these can be the GWR 14xx Oliver with Toad and 7800 Manor Class one of these is Odney Manor 7828 currently on WSR. A bonus for owners of GWML 1930s and WSR is that some of the locomotives here can run there too assuming they have the correct preserved unit that is also on WSR. Here is 7828 Odney Manor on WSR For Creators Club one can make the following Thomas and Friends Characters Duck Alice Dulcie Mirabel Toad Oliver these are the GWR 57xx Autocoach 14xx and GWR Brake Van.
