    HISTORY:

Spun over and through the daunting Tehachapi Mountains of California, the Tehachapi Pass route was constructed by the Southern Pacific, opened in 1876, and connects the arid Mojave Desert with California’s fertile San Joaquin Valley. Today, the route is Union Pacific’s bustling Mojave Subdivision and is a heavy tonnage artery for both Union Pacific and BNSF, the latter of which utilizes the line via trackage rights.

How come every time someone suggests Tehachapi, they always choose the modern era? I know research can be a pain for DTG to do vintage route, but come on, pretty sure there is enough historical documents to support an older Tehachapi.....

Also, can we not get a suggestion for Tehachapi every month please?

I share your pain Blacknred. And TBA unless DTG or Skyhook if they did the route can match what's already been done in Run 8 as regards physics, forget it.

Still hoping for Tier 4 GEVOs and SD70ACe-T4s. I would also love to see this route set in the 1950s-60s. Then we would get some awesome vintage ATSF and SP locos such as GP20s, GP30s, GP35s, GP7s, GP9s, SP SD7s/SD9s, Alcos, FMs (H-12-44, SP H-24-66), SP Cab Forwards, ATSF F3s or F7s, and SP F7s/FP7s.
