For every April fools maybe add the most hated train to the game, the 144 or 143. Make it that you can actually buy It as a Loco for around £8 because it's the standard price for separate locos.
There are much more hated trains than the pacers. We are getting one anyway unless we have been given a load of red herrings.
Why do so many people hate the pacers? I get that they are cheap, and that a bouncy castle has a better ride then them but I think that brings to the charm. and plus if you combine all the pacers (142, 143 & 144) then around 48% of the pacer family as been preserved whether its by musuems like the NRM or on heritage railways.. With the next UK route coming to the game, we are basically getting either the 142 or the 150/1 going from the images that were released on the July 2023 Roadmap. If an "April Fools" update was to happen, I really think DTG should take a note from Mojang's book. When Mojang 'updates' Minecraft every April 1st, it is always something so outragous that it won't every make it in to a actual update. The update is always free and is only out on April 1st before its deleted.
Yeah, I think I am one of a few that actually likes the Pacers. I, however, can't stand the 460. I hate the 460 and I was thankful when I found out that they were rebuilt.
I have no history with the 460 as I don't live in the south but I hate it based on its looks which I know is a bit harsh and ignorant but hey the SR Q1 was nicknamed "Ugly Ducking" because the class didn't score high marks for looks.
We'd need routes for them too, though! I could definitely see the Pacers being brought to TSW with a heritage railway that currently has some, and since the type was retired, a lot, and I mean a lot of different routes purchased some to use on their lines, so there's definitely plenty of places to look to for inspiration. I'm actually kinda surprised that the Pacers haven't been added yet, in fact!
