Now that I have an upgraded machine I find I can run the Classic version of the RailSim acceptably well on my Mac. I am rather confused re the various versions of the RailSim that Dovetail release. I believe that in order to run the upcoming PeakForest route I will need TSW3 - for which I will need to pay (before downloading the PF route). Despite my spending ages 'Googling' my question I still cannot find a definitive answer to: Will TSW3 run on my Mac Mini M2Pro running Parallels and the ARM version of Win11? Thanks.
I’m unsure of the answer to your question directly. I have played on PC but these days I’m PS5. I’m a Mac user but not the M2 and I don’t run Parallels to use windows programs. However it is my understanding on the Steam platform that you have the opportunity to cancel a purchase up until the point where you have used the software for 2 hours. I’m sure a Steam user will confirm. On that basis you might consider buying it and giving it a go. I’m sure the community would love to know how you get on
Here's what I'm running: 2020 Intel iMac, Parallels, and Windows 10. Since I don't have a separate graphics card, I've set the 5K display in TWS3 to 2.5K; frame rate is so-so, but it's acceptable, considering this is not a gaming machine. Parallels works fine; configuring is straight forward. I think there was a "gaming" option somewhere in Parallels; it's been awhile since I went through the setup. Other Windows users could help with setting up the Windows layer.
