A route near Hohenschwangau seems unlikely to me and remember the UK one had a stock image, it might just be a Bavaria stock image, and Bavaria reaches all the way to Aschaffenburg, so... a lot of possibilities.

 

The sun is up on Tuesday, and looks like the naive daydreams of escaping the Holy Trinity loop have evaporated with what seems to be the fifty trillionth German route coming in

Oh well, it was nice to dream for a couple of days I guess.

 

"Bavaria" reaches all the way to Aschaffenburg (in what's really Franconia), but you won't find mountains like that except along the Austrian border

Hopes they include the newer Siemens Vectron!

 

Or something older. Plenty of modern plastic stuff already available, especially for German routes.

But that's just wishful thinking. We'll find out soon enough I guess.

 

Definitely Jubilee and 8F territory. Unlikely to be another steam era route so soon unfortunately.

 

Yes I agree with you, about to have something "new" for the simulator!
This could be include newer locomotives model not yet available, plus some older models too!
The same for the freight / passenger cars!

There’s not going to be a route editor if that’s what you mean, DTG have ruled it completely out. Best we’ll get is version 2.0 of scenario planner and livery designer.

 

I believe it is "like" a Porsche.
Due to it is not a real production model, like other we have on the sim.
Despite them are "similar" to real ones.
I have noticed also this one seems to have a "logo" a the front.

Edit: or Innsbruck to Trento on the Brenner railway, which gets you closer to the 185km distance

 

I agree so far I really hope this will be what we see, also they need to give us better lighting in the station platform and other places as well especially the nighttime view, so far we still haven't seen any improvement on night time run

 

So. if we have these nice long routes, is anyone else wondering how dense/sparse the scenery may be.

I have nothing whatsoever to contribute to the detective work but would like to throw out respect to all of you for the rail and geographic knowledge on display. This has been a fun read.

 

The back end looks a bit like a porsche the front look more Japanese! The logo is neither porsche or ferrari. It kinda looks like a mazda logo. Then the grille looks kinda ferrari.

 

I'm staying positive for the meantime. I'm hoping that's all behind us now.

Agreed. I've supported and critiqued this sim for 5 years but I'm really hoping there is a more stable dynamic build now.

 

I'm trying to be positive but I can't help think there will be an inevitable blow to the stomach so I'm holding my breath before I scream and shout with excitement...

 

Well, all will be revealed in 1 hr now. But my thanks to everyone who was active in this thread these last few days, it was a fun read indeed. And thanks to the DTG team. This live stream with hints along the way was a very good idea !!

Well this is it, just under an hour till everything is revealed. This is certainly been fun following all the hints that have come along the way, but is anyone truly ready for what's coming at the end of this? Because let me tell you, I'm certainly not ready for this. But hopefully all this hype up will be worth it for whatever DTG has in store for TSW3.

The whole thing has been done very well by DTG, kudos to the team for the suspense and fun teasers!
I just know the "haters gonna hate" and put the boot into whatever they come up with, and that is a shame.

Yes I think this could now be the odds on favourite for the UK. Would fit perfectly for further steam layers. Here's my betting prices:
