Please you translating software. Dtg require a license which the train company needs to agree on and find time for or have the staff/team focused on licensing. Just because they have those countries doesn't mean they have a license for a different country or have a higher chance if it coming.
Like France a while ago, Italy will enter the TSW remit tomorrow, though like France it doesn’t mean more will be done/any time soon DTG have a policy of Britain, Germany/Austria and the USA, unless that changes i wouldn’t expect anything from anywhere else from them. 3rd Party may do an Italian or any other country not specifically looked into, but like any route it’s a who knows where they will do.
There are some decent Italian routes that are included in Trainz 2019 or you can buy them for Trainz 2022. You can drive multiple units including the high speed one.
But that might be true, but it's not Italian railway infrastructure, so that really doesn't count Still, I'd love to see Italian standard gauge in tsw. There are a lot of scenic routes in Italy!
some more French routes would be great to see more of, I always hoped the atlantique or Resau would be an addon for LGV but I guess not.
No and that is a strange decision since DTG always claimed LGV was one of the moust played routes. Working on designing TVM and french infrastructure and only using that on LGV and parts of SEHS is quite sad.
As it currently stands, I'd be happy to have a couple of Italian wagons parked in the sidings at Tirano. Just to make the route look a little more busy. They could even get away with using the Habbins wagon parked there. Google earth seems to show some of them in one of the sidings.

Not only the italian (Trenord) side of Tirano station is empty, but they didn't bother modelling even a simple version of italian catenary or signals. They used the SBB ones, so the objects are not even in the game.
Nice - Savona in around 2000 please, before modernisation ruined the beautiful Ligurian coastal route (English people think Dawlish -Teignmouth but much longer and on steroids...).
