Tsw4 And Steam Deck

I play TSW4 on PS5 but I am considering a purchasing a Steam Deck. I have been for some while, and now an improved version is about to launch with an OLED display

The steam store has no compatibility info for TSW4, while it says TS Classic is “playable”

Does anyone have any real world experience of TSW on Steam Deck? I’d love to know your thoughts

 

some people reported a few graphic issues if I recall correctly, I'm not sure though

 

TSW4 runs fine on Proton for me but I can't speak for the Steam Deck in particular. Check ProtonDB for user reports, it's a very useful site.

 

I think DTG Matt has mentioned he’s used TSW3 on Steam Deck, so maybe he can confirm TSW4 runs ok on it too?

 

I use TSW 4 on steam deck. Don’t expect any visual wonders, as you have to optimise graphics for performance a bit. But with a little tinkering, you’ll find a good balance between looks and performance. Otherwise it runs completely fine gameplay wise, plus: it also recognises the steam deck as a controller natively and if I remember correctly even shows the correct controller icons.
Given the size and portability of the steam deck, TSW is a good experience on it.
