Steam Tsw4 Compatible Dlc Purchase Requirement .........

    ........the purchase of TSW 3? Really??? Even if it was still available(it's not), why would anyone do this? DTG, you're bleeding potential revenue with this silly requirement!

    Hey there,

    you are not required to purchase TSW 3 to play TSW 4. You are also not required to buy AddOns from TSW 3 again to play them with TSW 4.
    Could you please tell me what platform you are on and what the exact problem is?

    I have been having a similar issue, with Steam prompting me to reinstall TSW3 in order to purchase or download DLC for TSW4.

    I found that going through as if I’m going to reinstall and then coming back out starts the DLC to download and install but doesn’t reinstall TSW3.

    Hi Jan, I'm on the PC platform. I do not own TSW3, but have TSW4. I would like to purchase the TSW4 compatible Cajon Pass route add-on. Simple enough. I place the item in my cart on Steam, but when I attempt to pay for the item, a message states that I need to purchase TSW3 to complete this transaction. Why turn away a sale on TSW4 compatible DLC because I don't own an obsolete core game? Why even list it with a purchase price in the TSW4 add-ons? Strange.

    Thanks for getting this sorted out. I was able to purchase the route now with no issue.

    I apologize for my misunderstanding. I realize now that this was a Steam technical issue that DTG was not aware of and was eager to get fixed.
