    Hi,

    Bitts of feedback for me

    1. Hud
I really like the premiss of the new HUD, more time thinking about the route, rather than just counting down the numbers, this actually made me decide to purchase 4. However, I am finding the distance to next stop a little problematic, resulting in flying past at speed and missing station. Please could we have a more consistent way to alert the driver to an upcoming station, without having the objective marker? (Just a little more warning).
This also affects where the stop points are at some stations where it's difficult to work out where exactly one needs to stop.

Suggestion maybe include the station in the top right of the minimal hud so it gives one time to prepare?

    2. Dynamic Weather
Looks exactly the same as TSW3 where you always start in lovely dry, clear skies and always gets darker and potentially to rain.. Question to all/devs, does the weather ever brighten again after the rain/cloudy conditions? I've never, ever seen it improve again.

    3. Performance
Please increase loading times (with a more reliable loading percentage) so that we don't get these stutters that's plagued the sim for years. I know it's being talked about but I think most would accept a slightly longer loading screen to reduce the stutters of tile loading. Running through the whole route first is not a valid medium-term solution.

    4. Award System
Please upgrade previous routes with the new award system, benefiting safe driving comfortable ride etc. over time etc.

    5. Passengers
All of my trains on the new routes are extremely empty, no one is sitting in the seats, very little people on the station. Why?

    TSW4
    - Wanted to also make clear I am one of those not happy that the features with the new sim is not worth a new title. I enjoy the hobby so invested in the new product

[1] - got some big plans here, looking to when we can do them and show you all them but yes, i think the plans we have will satisfy everyone's needs.

[2] - something we need to look into, no plans yet. In theory it should be able to get brighter again but... it does seem to rather get stuck.

[3] - much more complex than it first seems, 80% of the hitches are caused by display drivers compiling shaders and there's not much we can do about that. its not just a matter of making the game take a bit longer to load - currently the only do do this is just to have the game run the route from end to end once. I do this now on the streaming pc before our streams, i just have it sit as a passenger, leave it to run the route once and then that kills most of the hitches for when streaming. I'd suggest doing this before you start "properly" sitting and enjoying a route. We are looking at other options, but I don't have anything firm to confirm at this point.

[4] - No plans at the moment

[5] - Totally agree, they're the meme-ist bit of the game at the moment. it's not aquick job at all, but something I want the team to focus on at some point soon.

    Matt.

Was doing a run on NY-Trenton, had the weather set to thunder storm and by the time I had gotten to Trenton it had completely stopped and dried up. So yes it happens, but it’s very rare as it’s only happened 3-4 times for me.

Thank you for your response Matt, greatly appreciated.

    1) good to hear about this! Minor tweaks I think, i support your challenge to getting us looking out of the window more, it's important.

    2) Thank you, as others have said, it's very rarely fixed to the point where it gets brighter again.

    3) I want to challenge you on this. Electricity etc. means that's it's a lot of resources, just to get the route running with less stutters. Please look into workarounds here.

    4) Ok, shame but ok

    5) Super, thanks Matt!

I would love to have a modular HUD. A HUD that we can move around on the screen. I have an Ultra-wide 49inch monitor for my display, and having to constantly turn my head from one corner to the other can be a bit distracting. Especially with TrackIR going. My ideal HUD is to have all the pertinent info I need situated in the upper left corner. This way it won't look like I'm watching a tennis match when I drive.

This is good to hear! I'd echo Allsop4 above, I'd love a moveable modular HUD, to which I'd add sizeable please, so I can have just the information I want, tucked away at the top of the screen. Ideally, looking something like this:

I have seen it brighten again on Sherman Hill and I think on Cajon Pass - so on longer freight Routes.
