what is the point of creating this thread? you're not really sharing anything useful. another few bytes wasted on DTG's database
Sorry for wasting more data. I haven't listened to the TSW4 menu music. From my limited knowledge of it I don't like it as much as TSW3's menu music, which I loved. It's strange that the TSW3 menu music was disabled by default. I bought it on iTunes actually, 59p well spent. I've been asking for years, but I've always wanted the menu music for TS2014, 15 and the trailer for TS2015. Make it happen Matt!
Hardly spend time in the menu, so I don't bother, it's just click click click click drive. The only menu music I enjoy is ETS2's. It's smooth and groovy. Anyway, best intro / menu theme ever, crispy 8-bit sound from Hülsbeck... when PCs had AdLib soundcards and the Amiga ruled
ps I don’t know what funeral directors you’ve been in but in my experience they tend to shy away from the soaring soundscapes of the TSW4 soundtrack!
Well, I like the music on the menu, I think it's a very beautiful melody and composed with a lot of love.
They are on Youtube: TS2014: TS2015: TS2016: And then you can use Youtubes loop function like I do to listen to them over and over again!
Tbh.. its a bit short loop that plays over and over and over. The track itself is not bad but it's getting tedious after even 1 week to listen the same thing over and over already. To have the old diorama screens back from TSW would have been better instead
I know, but these are compressed versions. Only a CD-quality release (including iTunes) counts for me, as Spotify is also compressed and sounds noticeably worse than CDs. I am an audiophile as you can tell.
It’s not a short loop, it’s a 5m40s song. The problem is DTG set it playing from the start each and every time you enter the menu, so we keeping hearing the same bit over and over again. That’s not the songs fault, but the way it’s been set up.
But it's quite melodramatic - imho not fitting a simulation. Though it could fit a video, like "At The Railyards" fine reviews back then... but for a menu it's too distracting and emotional. Of course - different tastes. (Heard it for the first time actually now)
Ha ha I've been playing this again amongst others recently on the Amiga A500 mini! I'm not as good as I used to be at these games, I guess it's down to age and slower reactions! I can't even win a game on Speedball 2 now! Approx 30yrs ago when it was originally released, I won the lot!
I only beat Turrican with that Space-1-4-2-Esc-Esc cheat. I bought it just for the music and the graphics back then, still have the box and disk. The "schoolyard two-disk crack" that was around was broken...
my point was to share with others who think it spoils the start. It can be turned off. Like all the threads in the past asking about how to stop the videos playing. Plus I don't think any "bytes" were wasted, this is a discussion platform and that's what all in this thread has done, anyone who does not like discussion should shop elsewhere, including the few trolls on here who have nothing better to do. Long live free speech. Plus, it's called "feedback" so creators can improve/change the game.
I think the music is very nice but is a shame it does go back to the beginning as it does feel like the best bits are being missed out. Personally I would have taken Depeche Mode over it but there aren't many artists who can beat them so I suppose that is a compliment to the music too.
I really wish the DTG and Focus splash screens were displayed before the game spends 3 minutes loading all my DLC, the music is just getting into it's stride only to be rudely interrupted and then started again from the beginning upon actually reaching the menu.
