This might seem a stupid question from one who ought to know. Went to upgrade from TSW3 to TSW4 on the PS5 and it seems the only options are the Standard, Deluxe or Special editions. Where are the single route packs for £29.99 as I don’t want to pay £40+ having already made my main purchase on the PC?

It’s not that I can’t afford it, but ought to be an option!

    That's a good question.

I've checked on TSW4 FAQ and it says Regional Starter Packs of TSW4 will be available at launch, so I presume those should available since 26th Sep.

Checked on PS Store just now and only Standard, Deluxe and Special are there, but no starter packs :|

For what it's worth, the individual starters are available on Steam, though, to me the price is high ( regular route price ) compared to the other packages.

Appreciate the response but that doesn’t find them browsing the store on the actual console. Any chance of giving Sony a nudge to make visible, please?

Wouldn't the special edition be considered as a starter pack since it comes with the base game vectron flying Scotsmen and 4 extra routes from the pervious tsw

No the Starter pack as per PC version is the Training Centre plus one of the three new routes, to get you up and running. What you are referring to is the Deluxe edition which I already bought on the PC.

If you browse the packages using the PS App, that gives you the most clear understanding of the available offerings and what is included. I agree that on the console itself it's less obvious, but using the mobile app it tells you what bundles are on offer and how each bundle differs.

It also lets you sign up for Playstation Stars which I recommend everyone who buys TSW content regularly on PS check out because it gives you points on purchases which you can later use as discounts on the Playstation Store. I've saved $25 so far.

Just to bump this. Ferreting away on the console store front, seems the starter packs are there but not described as such. I had to search by route name, e.g. Vorarlberg and it actually advertises as an add on. I’m assuming ECML and AVL are the same. It does *not* in any way make it clear the product includes the base game.

So I will hold on to my £30 pending clarification and Sony should be told to revise the text and get these versions on the front page next to Standard and Deluxe etc.
