Whilst driving on the Antelope Line from LA to Lancaster, I decided to do the reverse journey from Lancaster to LA as a passenger. Is there an option to relinquish the player train without pause and travel as a passenger? I pressed E to get out of driver control and waited, then went and sat in a passenger seat and waited. My service is over 10 minutes late and I still haven’t had the screen with the option to relinquish the driver controls. Is this a bug? Surely there is a quicker way to do this? Can anyone at DTG confirm please?
Hello, the default time taken for the AI to take control is 2 minutes of not being in the driver's seat. Make sure you're also not sitting in the engineer seat of the cab otherwise, this still counts as being in control. Sitting away from the cab on a passenger seat should prompt the message shortly. I can confirm that the time taken to get the prompt should be 2 minutes (120 seconds), so if that has passed, there might be an issue with it not appearing.
Thank you JD for your response. It is certainly much longer than two minutes on the Antelope Line so will try it on the others and submit a ticket if no better. How do you find this Spikee1975?
Sometimes this seems to be bugged. You get out of the seat, walking around on the station platforms, and still won't release the controls. There is no promt popping up., even after 10 mins and when the train is already scheduled for the return trip. What sometimes work is to take over some other train standing around and leave it. Then you get the prompt after 2 minutes.
