Greetings, I am playing the Microsoft store version of TSW 4 since today. I am also using afterburner to show FPS and some other stuff. When in game I noticed that the afterburner OSD was very big, which is the case when a game is running at a low resolution. But the game was set to 4k. Next I noticed bad image quality and when turning off AA it turned into a very low resolution mess. I then tried different resolutions and windowed and borderless modes and the image quality did not change. Also the gpu usage did not change. Only if I am setting the resolution scaling to 200%, the image improved. 200% with real 4k resolution should normally result in very low fps, but I still maintained 60 frames. So it seems, that the game is ignoring the resolution settings. And after all this fiddling the game now always starts in 720p windowed, no matter what it was set to when I quit the game. Windows is set to 4k and I am using a 4k display. I really need some help with this. EDIT: Also, why is there no normal fullscreen mode.
I was able to force the game into full screen mode. With that, it actually says fullscreen in the menu... Now the game uses the right resolution.
I have TSW 4 via Microsoft and there is no fullscreen option available, only window and windowed fullscreen. Either one leaves the game looking dull and far from sharp no matter if I change the screen resolution from 640x480 - 2560x1600 or scaling from 0-200.
Could you try replacing your GameUserSettings.ini file with the one attached, please? Download the attachment Go to: C:\Users\%username%\Documents\My Games\TrainSimWorld4WGDK\Saved\Config\WinGDK Unzip the attachment into this folder and replace the existing file. Launch Train Sim Word 4 and make any changes to the graphical settings you need. Warning: If you force the game into full screen mode, you may miss pop-up notifications from the Xbox App. For example, you may be required to perform an update or log into your Xbox account.
If your monitor is 4K you don't need to put your TSW resolution scaling above 150% or you will generate a high workload for your PC with no visible results. Ensure that your windows "display" settings are correct for your monitors native resolution.

I am having the same issue however i have the game through Gamepass and i do not have the option to replace the existing file information as i can not find the folder you named. I dont have anything named saved in the directory of TrainSimWorld4
Hi frankieb88 These files are saved in your Documents folder, not the Train Sim World 4 installation folder.
For some reason mine were on onedrive on my pc, i did what you recommended there and it resolved the issue. Thank you.
frankieb88 If you are using OneDrive to back up your documents' folder, it would be a good idea to keep a local backup of your files. That way, if there is any interruption to your internet connection, you will still have access to your saved data.
