PS5 Tsw4 Pre Order Auto Download

Has anyone managed to install TSW4 pre order on Playstation yet?

 

No because I preordered it on PC

 

If you can't other people the same! There is no guarantee to do! I guess this is mostly for the large AA games. The game is ready for download from 15utc at EA download day for consoles

 

It’s usually 48 hours prior to launch, so would expect pre installs to start in around 40 minutes.

 

It just says auto download 19th September.

 

Why you asking than? The day is not over yet.... A lot of hours to go.... In reality it could be possible 1 min before midnight right?!

 

they announced that on consoles early access and/or release will be 16:00 (4PM) BST on consoles, maybe it's the same for this

 

I would say in 20mins (4pm BST) we can start pre-download.

 

It all depends on platforms on my platform was there as soon as pre order placed along with numerous updates since

The game itself seems to be missing. All I can download is the routes; locos and decals. There is no training center or base game

 

I managed to install the base game but I can't install any of the content I keep getting CE-107880-4 error.

 

DTG JD can you sound the alarm at HQ. Something is wrong with the Playstation pre download. Only 48 hours left to fix it

Worth noting that in addition to the PS5 download it is autodownloading all the DLC (but not the base game) for the PS4 version onto the PS5 too, I was able to cancel the PS4 downloads but if you didn't you may want to delete them via settings, storage to free up space.

 

Getting a new update as we speak. I hope that solves everything

Yes! after clearing the cache I was able to download the base game. But when I try to manage the content I get the same error code when trying to install the routes

I received the update, restored licenses, clear the cache again and still the same error codes. Only 47h left to fix this DTG JD

 

I have base game installed but when I go in to manage game content I can't install any of the content. I just get a message saying something went wrong CE-107880-4. And I have tried the above method twice with no result.

 

I was able to download the base game ok. Issues are with the add ons giving the error.

I have restored licenses, cleared cache and restored database but error still there.

For me first the base game would not install. It only showed the routes but gave the error code mentioned above when trying to install. After clearing the cache I was able to install the base game but when I want to install the DLC I get that same code.

I have done the same steps to restore licenses and clearing the cache again after installing the base game and the error persists for downloading the DLC

 

I’m guessing it’s something to do with them being DLC packs and not an actual game?

Not sure if it was the same with TSW 3 as I didn’t buy it until a while after release, but TSW 2 had the routes bundled into the game core.

AFAIK the process for setting up the preloading of game updates & DLC on PS, is different to a core game, so I wonder if a step has been missed by DTG or Sony.

 

Same here - can download the base game with no issues, but not the add-ons.

 

I had that stupid error message. I just turned off and on the console and it worked. Restoring licences was useless for me.
EDIT: decals and the Austrian route won’t install but it worked for others DLCs.

 

I'm at the moment downloading the PS4 version just incase the PS5 version problem is not resolved before release.

 

For me it auto downloaded the base game for ps5 and the add ons for ps4. And I can't install the add ons for ps5 it says the error: CE-107880-4
Restoring license and clearing cache did not help.

 

Feels like the old wait 24 hours issue. I suspect by trying to download the DLC before the Base Game (technically at the same time) it does some kind if check that fails. This result is then cached for 24 hours (in a way that pointing off the console deson't clear) so it is broken for this period.

My guess is that anyone who has tried to download the DLC and failed will be able to this time tomorrow.

It would be interesting if someone who hasn't tried yet (but somehow seed this thread) could try downloading the base game (by unticking all the DLC), then try to download the DLC through manage content once the base game is installed.

I might be wrong but my guess is this would world work fine. Sony really do run a crazy store!

Yeah, I am getting the same message so I have asked Playstation on Twitter to see what they say and will probably expect an answer in about several years

 

Any information gathered from Twitter can't be trusted. You should know that by now.

 

Hence the several years
An hour for Playstation to give some answer they pulled out of a hour
The rest of the time to get the bucket and spade out to do some real digging

 

I think I had this error message before and its a real cow to get around.

The last fix that worked we cannot even try yet and that's using the PlayStation app to download the addons. Problem is, the addons are not yet officially on the PS store

I am just hoping they will be up on PS store on Thusday rather than the official release next week

 

Same as everyone else, just the base game for PS5, clearing caches and restoring all 4,987 licences didn't help.

 

Maybe it's better to wait until the EA window is officially open... It seems looking that not all the stuff is ready.

 

I have the base game installed. I deleted the PS4 add-ons. No ps5 add-ons to be seen yet. I don't understand why my PS4 add-ons are downloading to my PS5 console.

 

Because you haven’t deselected them on the download screen.

 

So if we get rid of the DLC add-ons, the "base" game downloads?

 

I'm on PS4 pro.. once i start with TSW4 i won't go back to TSW3. There are some DLC add-ons that i actually DON'T want to transfer over, as i simply don't use them anymore and would rather free up the memory space.

when the new game downloads on Thursday, will it also automatically start downloading ALL my add-ons too? I kinda hope not, and if it would i'd rather know now as i'll delete TSW3 before Thursday if that makes sense!

 

Going by how it worked with TSW3 last year, nope. You'll only get the new routes (and Riesa) on the 21st, and the rest will unlock on the 26th. BUT last year some of the older DLCs didn't make it on release day, either, so there's no telling if your whole collection will even be up for downloading on the 26th.

 

I have tried to do this and the base game downloads if you restore licences but the same error code appears. What I find interesting is that when you go manage game content, all of the DLC say playable date ‘21/9/23’. Perhaps the PS store acknowledges that these will be on the store from Thursday.

Everything attempted as instructed. After turning the console back on it automatically started downloading the PS5 version of TSW4 but with all addons being the PS4 versions. When I cancelled those and tried to start the PS5 version again, the same error from before appeared.
